What Song Reflects Your Love Life?
I think we've all listened to a love song and said "awww, doesn't that sound like us?" or "Didn't that sound like us BACK THEN?". There are particular songs that are/were significant to your relationship with your SO (well, that's what I think). When you listen to that song, you think about or associate it with him/her. When I was with my ex, I associated the song "Infatuated" by Memphis Bleek with our relationship. It was his favourite song at the time and so every time I hear it - I think of him. Before we broke up, the song "You Deserve Better" by Sebastian Mego was always played. The song was about the girlfriend deserving better because her boyfriend didn't treat her the way she wanted to be treated. It reflected the negative aspects of my relationship with my ex and it was quite true as well.
Do you have a particular song that reminds you of your ex, or current SO? If there is, how did it become "your" song? Or is there a particular song that reflects our general love life?

How about "Gives you hell"? I like that song.
is there a song that is titled "dont have a love life" or "not getting any"? lol
I never have love life ~
I think ours is "I will possess your heart" by Death Cab... actually it's "Reset" by Mutemath (its the way the song makes you feel, since it lacks lyrics)
i went out with my fiance on a date and swore i wouldnt ever date him, but i did about 6 months later and now we are... kinda... happily engaged. it's just one of those times right now haha
Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" says it all!
ours is far away - nickelback, its a long distance relationship
Three Dog Night >> One.
The loneliest number...
That's me...
We've got a few, actually - "Sweet & Wild" by Dierks Bentley, "Lucky" by Jason Mraz, "You're the One" by the Black Keys, and "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" by Ida Maria (which is kind of our silly song to each other).
@buddy71@xanga - hahahaha. clever.
I dont really like this song, but the lyrics really relate to my situation at the moment.
Ne-Yo - Mad
I know sometimes its gunna rain...
But baby, can we make up now,
'Cause I can't sleep through the pain.
oooo I'm yours, by Jason Mraz, thats a good one too.
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - i love that song tooooo haha
i'd also have to go with "Face Down" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus for my ex
and this beautiful Japanese song for my current crush :Dhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUz8_NrMSCM
@Tokimon@xanga - It doesn't apply to me right now, but I still like it enough to sing along.
"Mr. Lonely" by bobby vinton.
i actually feel that way about "beautiful mess" by jason mraz. it feels really personal, and true to us specifically. also ffrom the same album "if it kills me" reminds me of a guy friend who was borderline obsessed with me. lol
Snuff by Slipknot and Apologize by One Republic.
'My Lack Of Skill'
by The Early November
"Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows
Because we were just really good friends for most of my first year of college, and after I became available we started hanging out a lot. Didn't really plan on going out (it was almost summer and we figured that'd be a bad time to start a relationship, since he lives in CO and I live in OH), but it just kinda... happened.
Anniversary was on Sunday!
Hold Me Tight, by the Beatles
Wishlist by Pearl Jam
:]
Ehh, if there was a song called "Fail" that would be it.
For now I guess it would have to be "Tell Her This" by Del Amitri. But I don't have a love life as of yesterday, so eff that.
Only, NIN
"There is no fucking you, there is only me!"--Still loving that track!
"Given Up"- Linkin Park, put me out of my f*cking misery! lool
"The past, The love, The memories"- A skylit frive
"The ex" Billy talent
So many depending on the mood and situation!
the saltwater room - owl city, breathe - taylor swift, dedicated to the one i love - the mamas and the papas. [obviously, my love life is all over the map]
My wife and I originally started dating 20 years ago, when we were in high school. Back then, "our" tongue-in-cheek songs were Winger's "Headed For A heartbreak," and Queensryche's "I Don't Believe In Love."
Our song (we decided) would be "The Start of Something" by Voxtrot since it was playing when we were first hanging out and both realized we liked each other (plus the lyrics help I guess-- plus that band's a bit of an inside joke)
The song that reminds me of him: Honey Pie (since its his favorite Beatles song and he totally had me fall in love and listen to their whole discography) & Martha My Dear (because I re-recorded it for him when we were apart one time)
The song that reminds him of me: Well Respect Man by The Kinks hahahah.... I just played it a lot, got him into the Kinks, and I guess he said he always thought of me sort of like in the song? haha oy.
