  • Piercings...In Special Places?

This post may be better left private, but what the hell.

I'm trying to decide if I should get my nipples and/or clit pierced. I enjoy tattoos and piercings, but I'm not sure if this is for me. The pros would obviously be that your sensitivity is increased A LOT and some simple rubbing can apparently bring you to an orgasm.

At the same time, what the heck am I thinking? This sounds outrageously painful. And what if I get an infection? Some places don't even do this type of piercing and even those that do have to evaluate your clit and make sure it is suited to even have a piercing (anatomy wise and technically piercing the hood - confusion much?).

So what do you think? Should I or shouldn't I? Would men find this attractive or not? Why?

You probably shouldn't be getting this kind of piercing if it's only to appeal to men. Some like it, some don't, that's just how the world works with everything.

Chances are though if you take care of a piercing like you're told to, you won't get an infection.

I think its attractive and very erotic but like razor said; dont do it if its just for men. Do it cause its something you wanna do and if men happen to like then everyone wins in the end ^_^.

Well, I'll throw a list of cons against it.

1.) Some guys (myself included) not only wouldn't like it, but would be turned off by such.
    2.) Can you say OUCH?
    3.) I reiterate #2.

I really have no opinion because my opinion or anyone else's shouldn't matter when it comes to your body.

My advice is do a lot of research. Look up aftercare and healing information.  Find the best piercer you can, with a clean shop. Be 100% sure you want to do it. Yes the jewelry is removable but scar tissue is not.

90% of her post was about why she wants to do this for herself yet everyone is like "don't do it just for guys" haha. no shit everyone will react differently to it.

however, to answer your actual question, personally i wouldn't find it attractive, but i do love piercings and tats (have my own) in general. i just don't like the nips/clit pierced.

I've heard that nipple piercings are really painful to get make it really painful to sleep--and this was from a friend who actually had said piercings.  In her words, "They're a bitch."

I've also heard that you can't have sex for a month after getting a clit piercing, because of fluids and risk of infection.  However, this was from a far less reliable source, so I'd check up on that if I were you.

It is possible that the piercings can go awry. Sometimes they can get infected, like you mentioned, and they might not have the added effect you desire and you end up taking them out, so you might end up wasting that money. In the end, it's up to you, but I do suggest you think for a very long time and talk to people who have piercings in the places you mentioned in order to make as informed a decision as you can.

  • camunderwater@xanga

seems painful but whatever floats your boat right?

  • chPanda@xanga

I wouldn't do it.  It's much work to deal with.

  • alterEGGO@xanga

I would suggest to talk to a few people that have such piercings. I know a few women that had to take them out because they were too distracting. And I think a better question for yourself is....why are you wanting them? Are they for you? do you orgasm easily? if so you may want to rethink this.

  • spanz@xanga

I wouldn't ever do this. I hate body piercings other than my ears so that explains it & it sounds really painful..
But, do what you wish. If it's just for pleasing men.. I'd say don't, 'cause not all men like the same things. If you just like it & willing to take the pain.. I guess go for it.

  • bLu3_marShMeLo@xanga

i have my nipples pierced and its really not that bad. the pain is instant and its sore for a week or two afterwards, but with proper cleaning, which isnt all that much.., you should be fine. they're more sensitve and i enjoy that. clits too far for me, but i dont think its something you would regret if you did it. :) and if some guy finds them unattractive, fuck em there are plenty of other people who will find them attractive.

  • steph

I've totally pondered this myself, but I didn't end up doing it, because I don't want to do any damage to the nerves in case something goes wrong when the person is piercing me.

  • immaairheadxl@xanga

    I'D SAY..do it for yourself..but ahh..no no for me.

    shit.

  • The_Tudor_Rose@xanga

Getting your nipples pierced can actually cause you to have no sensitivity in that area what so ever. Sadly, this is a subject that came up in Cosmo school because a few of the girls had it done. 2 of 3 of them lost the sensation.

Although, some of the girls also had their clit pierced and had nothing bad to say about it, but then again I do see health risks are far greater in that region.
This is all about you, and if you have done your research and are comfortable and have found a good place that uses new tools every time, not just "sanitized" tools and every other little detail that goes along with it, go for it.
  • thats_not_my_name@xanga

You're asking for other people's opinion on modifying your body. Maybe you were already leaning towards not doing it??

I doubt pain is an issue if you already have piercings and tattoos but it's not entirely true that it will make you more sensitive. That depends on the person. Let's say you got it pierced and it healed fine and looked great but you lost almost all feeling in that area. I doubt you'd be shouting from the rooftops what happened because you'd be embarrassed. Imagine how many people that's already happened to and they just lie and say it's more sensitive now.

  • jeezshoua@xanga

    Yiikes!

I'm too much of a chicken shit to do that.  Plus, I don't like people looking at my areas.  Lmao.

If you like it and want it, why not?  You only live once.  But I would do some research on it and go to a piercing place where it get GREAT feedback and recommendations from people who have done it there.

  • zombiecait@xanga

My girlfriend has her nipples pierced and they're VERY sensitive.  She loves it, of course.

OTherwise, I'd just say get them pierced for yourself and not anybody else.  If men don't like them, oh well. It's your body and your choice, so go big or go home.  Or whatever.
  • lovemecauseunoido@xanga

nipple piercings, as my boyfriend puts it (i have one) are likes toys. And he loves toys. Lol.

However i got it 3 years before I dated him, and I got it for me. And my boyfriend at that time didn't like it. I didn't care, i kept it in. I will admit its nice to be with someone who does like it.

  • lastlyfirst@xanga

If you want to do it then just do it. Make yourself happy. Don't worry about whether a guy will like it or not. If it was something you liked and wanted to do then the right guy will accept it.

I actually had both of my nipples pierced and I absolutely adore my piercings! You do stand a chance of losing sensitivity, but you also stand a chance of increasing sensitivity. I am in the increased sensitivity camp. Once again, I love my piercings and I'm quite happy with my decision.

    PS; The pain? Brief.

if you really want it go for it.  the nipple i couldn't care either way, but if i'm going down on a chic and she has her clit pierced... it turns me on even more, it makes it more fun too.

  • HisGirlFridayy@xanga

I heard after a year of having the, second peircing you mentioned, it goes numb. So for a year, yes you'll have great sex. After that, you wont be able to feel anything special anymore. I've heard that from a lot of people to.
