Love by Zodiac Signs
I don't know if everyone does this, but I also want to introduce you into a little thing I used to do - getting into a relationship based upon horoscopes. Ever since I read a lot in high school, I took the horoscopes that I was compatible with and not compatible with seriously. But sometimes, I bend because some of the people that fit me well either don't go for me or they are often the people I don't know well enough to date. Either way, I like to pay special attention to horoscopes sometimes. I am a Scorpio, and I will attest that being around my share of people of other signs has taught me a lot about certain types of women.
I dated a Leo: She really was selfish, a martyr, very prone to mood swings, and the Leo I dated could not stand to be dumped, yet dumped me without even so much as a hold to her word that we would be friends.
I dated two Taureans. One was stubborn, loved food, sometimes was prone to depression and need of attention, very conservative about love, despite being a chronic cheater. Another one was very smart, stubborn, and used to find plenty of solace in long relationships.
I dated a Gemini: She was smart, but was generally not a thinker when it comes to dealing with other exes. Now, every Gemini is different, but this one is more reliant than actually in love and is a very nice, to the point of seeming weird, woman.
I fell for (and was "friend zoned" by) a Virgo who was married: She was very critical, prone to depression if she doesn't get her way, observational, and she has trouble letting go of someone she truly loves to the core. And she paid plenty for being clouded by her true brand of love as well.
Now, I have a certain interest for an Aries woman, which they say I should be keeping my distance from, as they say that Aries are completely hot-headed, energetic, hate boredom, straight and to the point on things, and self-indulgent. But I have not mined the hot-headed side just yet.
Basically, these days, I try to keep my interest in love based upon the signs, but I won't hesitate to see what others are about if I am antsy. But I strictly keep away from Sagittarians, Libras, other Geminis and other Leos now, based on my experience and knowledge. Same with Aquarians.
Assuming that some of you believe in astrology, have you ever counted on it from time to time when finding dates or a boy/girlfriend? How has it worked out with you thus far?

Hm, wow, I've never used horoscopes to decide who I'll date, because I'm supposed to be a Leo, but my twin brother acts a lot more like a Leo than I do. I've always identified more with Scorpio horoscopes (which oddly enough, aligns with the birthdate my twin & I were supposed to have -- we were born three months early.)
I don't believe in astrology.
I think attraction should let itself work (or not work, as the case may be).

I've never used astrology for dating purposes. It's just fun to read about characteristics and personalities of someone. By the way, I'm an Aries and yes, I am what you pointed out...
well I take horoscopes as a general guidance but that doesn't really define who that person (ah only if the world's that simple!)
I'm pieces and went out with gemini and broke up for communication issues (which was noted on horoscope)
and went out with virgo (worst combo for mine on horoscope) and we're pretty ok right now, least dramatic ending compared to gemini
my worst relationship with cancer (second best on horoscope) she was a constant liar and a cheater...
and my best friend is scorpio (as it said on horoscope)
I'm not too sure whether it happens because I believed in it or not but I only take them as a guidance and sometimes it's not always the case.
I am a Capricorn and my boyfriend is a Cancer. We are on opposite sides of the Zodiac which is supposed to mean we are most compatible. So far, everything I've read about Capricorns and Cancers has been positive, and my relationship has been nothing but positive. So I guess I'm a believer in the whole astrological compatibility thing.

I am a Virgo...It says that we would get along great but that we're both very analytical and jealous...which I agree with to an extent, it also says we're not supposed to date because it will end badly, which I don't agree with.
We're fantastic at communicating and that keeps our jealousy under wraps--not to mention that we're basically crazy about each other.
My boyfriend and I are about to get engaged and we're very much compatible and in love with each other. Our horoscope signs, which we looked up a few months ago said that we would be the most compatible. :D
And we totally are.

My fiancee is a text book Gemini. I'm a sagittarius. Though a low self-esteem, mostly shy Sagittarius who hates conflict. Idk. Sometimes I just don't think it will work and other times I couldn't be more sure of our relationship.

You shouldn't rule out the others just based on what their sign is and what you heard about your sign compatibilty with theirs. You could miss out of the love of your life!
I think you should be open to whoever comes your way. Its always fun to look up what signs and horroscopes say about certain people but don't let it make bad judgements about others. Not everyone is exactly like their signs.
I don't use it. Horoscopes are so generalized it's ridiculous.

i'm a taurus and my current guy is a scorpio. the last time i dated a scorpio was a disaster. why i'm dating another one is beyond me, we're getting pretty rocky but for some reason i really like him. lol crazy
You really shouldn't rely on horoscopes. Yeah, some of the characteristics may be dead on for some people, but others not so much. I'm an Aquarius, but I'm not as independent as the books say I should be. I love being in long-term relationships. I'm dating a Cancer, which it says we should not do well together, but he's treated me better than than the "perfect match" (according to the books) my ex was, the Libra.
@RazorBladeParade@xanga - Well, I meant Zodiac Signs. I believe in all that stuff based on what I read about Scorpios, but horoscopes are sometimes a hit and miss. It works better with The Boston Globe the last time I read mine.
@MzBrownEyez - I heard Scorpios and Taureans go well with their attractions, and could stay well together, if Scorpios would get the Taureans to openn up to morre than tradition. But I can't expect it all to work if the first Taurean I dated was not only promiscuousd, but i was her nth boyfriend. And Taureans usually are very old school about their relationships. I suppose that shold have been a red flag, huh?
I'm a cusp between Leo and Virgo. I typically have a Leo personality, but Virgo horoscopes are more accurate for me. I've decided that dating Scorpios and Geminis are hazardous for me. Aries guys are usually pretty good.

boy1 his birthday, dec 21. boy2 his birthday dec 20. but my current boyfriend. his birthday, dec 16. BUT! dec 16 was the day things became official with boy2. and i always compared my currentboy with the other two. so he had to try his best to prove to me that he is nothing like them. boy1 likes to play video games. currentboy does too. boy2 dances. currentboy does too. They're so similar in many ways.but the current boyfriend. is the best. in EVERYTHING.I used to believe in astrology, but ever since I've taken Psychology, I can't help but notice its flaws.
I'd say, get to know her and jude her on that, instead of her birth month.
I've never depended on it, but I do find it pretty fascinating. I don't even know much about it, ha. Though, I'm a scorpio, and so is my boyfriend. We get along perfectly. :P

When it comes to relationships, I usually unconciously choose people who are under signs most recommended to match my own in a relationship.
But it's not like I believe in Astrology, I just find it interesting how it always seems to apply logically to my life.
ive had two serious relationships with taurus's, but they were both assholes so to speak. very cocky and controlling... but overall it's a quality that i seek in my men
I am a Cancer and my ex is a Cancer. We were polar opposites though. I was definitely a Cancer and he wasn't. We worked out for a while.
