  • Follow-Up: Circumcision Clarification

    (original post is here)

Okay, so the guy has very good hygiene and spends, like, 30 minutes in the bathroom getting ready just to go to Starbucks!

LET ME CLARIFY: I have no problem with penises with foreskin! They're just as great as circumcised ones!  That post was not intended to bash on "natural" penises.  It was just that this guy was my first uncircumcised experience and contradictorily to his good hygiene ways, he has a penis that's not clean enough for my liking!

A lot of you are right in saying that I shouldn't condemn the rest of uncircumcised guys out there, but we all know that first impressions are the lasting impressions. My point is that if I ever meet an uncircumcised guy again, I'll be looking for the cleanliness because the extra skin does require more cleaning attention.

And maybe the reason why I judged uncircumcised penises right off the bat is because this guy HAS really good hygiene when his little buddy down there showed something different.

My apologies if you misinterpreted it and got offended!

if they got offended then they just get offended too easily.
I understand that wasn't the point of your post, but for arguments sake lets say you did dislike uncircumcised penis, oh well! Tough cookies. Who really cares. It's not like they're gonna sleep with you.

  • buddy71@xanga

i think you were right the first time and i fully understood and those men that are not "trimed" should know better to keep themselves clean there as well.

  • actualization@xanga

I thought your original post was hilarious. No apologies needed! I'm lucky I haven't seen an un-cut penis! The pictures alone scare me!

haha, i wasn't offended (i hope it didn't come off that way) just trying to let you know that not all uncirc penises are disgusting (though maybe i'm biased since i'm married to one, lol).

    :)

Hahah, just wanna say, I love the picture that they put up with this post :P

  • mustardcat@xanga

    @steph - lmfao agreed.

Yeah, I think some people got a little too offended by that post. You dont HAVE to like something, and like i was saying the last post, its good that you know what you like and what you dont like!
Although, saying it was "disgusting" and that you'll never sleep with another uncircumsized man was a bit out there. Concidering its hard to tell lmao.
good luck to you in your future circumsized life =) hehe

I wasn't offended as i do not possess a penis, circumcised or otherwise, at which the insulting parts were directed; i just read it (as most people did) as being mean and felt horrible for uncircumcised guys who, as i already stated, get a lot of flack in the US because we American girls aren't used to it. If I had read it as mere commentary on some dude's dick-crud accumulation i guess i would have gotten the point better.

  • echois23@xanga

I am not offended by either post but would just like to say that an uncircumcised penis does not have "extra skin" it has the skin it's supposed to have. The circumcised penis has had a skin reduction and is actually missing skin that it is supposed to have. Much like someone who still has long hair does not have "extra" hair. Or someone who still has their tonsils does not have "extra" tonsils. For some reason it drives me nuts when people refer to the uncircumcised penis as having "extra" skin like it is some type of birth defect that must be remedied. OK LOL I know I am weird but that has always bugged me just a bit. It is a personal problem I have.....

  • jeezshoua@xanga

Wasn't offended in any way but it was just "shallow" of you to say you'll put off all uncircumcised guys because of one bad experience.

"..I recently hooked up with a guy who is uncircumcised, and let me tell you, that won't happen again!"

You shouldn't judge one for all.

  • black_lie@xanga

I gotta agree with @jeezshoua@xanga. It seemed like you were writing off all uncircumcised guys just because of this one guy. How would you prevent it happening again anyway? Ask beforehand? Haha that would make for lovely conversation

make him wear 3 layers of condoms on his rotten banana

  • FireMapleSong@xanga

Wasn't offended in anyway, just wanted to point out that saying "Unclean penises are nasty + some uncircumcised penises are unclean, therefore all uncircumcised penises are nasty" is a logical fallacy.

  • jenny

We did not circumcise our son because the rest of the world (he was born outside of the US but we are American) considers circumcision child abuse [direct quote by the Australian midwife who delivered him]. I've read that 60% or American boys born last year were not circumcised.

We were not against it but were abroad and didn't want our child butchered by a surgeon that hadn't done any/many. Your comment worries me for him; I hope he's not rejected by American girls because he is the way he was born to be.

  • pillowpixies@xanga

There's no way for me to have gotten offended over that, I don't have a penis. I think we all understand that you made a major mistake in your way of writing that out. The way you wrote it, all men who're uncircumcised are gross and unclean. If you had wrote about one guy being gross, it wouldn't have been the way it was.

  • kawasaki_saiyan@xanga

just because they look clean elsewhere, doesn't mean they know how to clean thoroughly or keep it clean..  haha..

    i go by these rules..
    1. shower at least once every day and always always wash the penis, inside and out
    2. always wear a clean boxer after shower even if i used it for less than an hour
    3. always make sure that area is dry before putting on the boxer, it's gross when it's moist
    4. when peeing, pull back skin and pee
    5. always make sure bladder is empty
    6. after peeing, dry head with tissue

write that down guys, stop making us uncircumcised guys look bad..  personally, i haven't had any problems, but let's just say you're lowering your chances..  haha..

In South Africa, as the Xhosa, it is our tradition to be circumcised at the age of 18 and it is a disgrace not to circumcise and you are not regarded as the Man if you've got a foreskin

  • El_Prego_Nikki@xanga

I've only ever been with cut guys, so I could kind of relate to your original post and thought it was really funny. Don't apologize because people get offended too easily.

  • MartialArtist322@xanga

Honestly, I never knew there was that much of a difference between circumcised and not. Then again, I have little to no experience--I just have my one boy and he is circumcised. Never seen anything else. I must be super sheltered >.<

  • WhenHateIsTheOnlyOption@xanga

LOL, men always bash women for not smelling fresh down there and now it turns out some of  them smell bad in that region, too. I haven't yet to be with an uncircumcised, but I'll make sure the guy is Jewish.

  • anonymous

No one should ever apologize for being pro-circumcision. The growing medical science to support male circumcision has gotten the anti-circs a bit hysterical lately, but there's a reason it smells and is dirty down there. I think what is also better understood that male circumcision protects women as much as it does men.
