Yes I Am Single lets site users meet a bunch of people online, access discussion forums, start offline meetups with members and buy a badge with the site's URL on it to wear proudly. It's a little less blatant than wearing a "YES, I AM INDEED WITHOUT A SEXUAL PARTNER AT THIS JUNCTURE", but the site's owner hopes the buttons become iconic enough that people will want to go up to other button wearers and chat.
"The idea is that people can wear the badge at appropriate times to identify themselves as single,"
site owner Evan Diacopolous says. "As the mood strikes them, they can take the badge on and off, say for 10 minutes when they go down to the supermarket," he said.
