NetLingo came up with a list of acronyms that should be
red flags for parents if they see their kids texting/IMing/smoke signaling them. While I respect their trying to keep parents up-to-date, most of these are completely LOLworthy - my favorite, by far, is FOL. "Fond" is a hilarious word, especially when paired with "leather". Here we go:

Well, I guess it's good that the internet is actually working against our parents' attempts to figure out how sex crazed we are since no one REALISTICALLY uses these.

I can't even finish that; it's not like the pitch of any website I've ever seen. If they're intended to conceal meaning, spreading them is counterproductive to their aims, so I doubt dissemination would be widespread, even if some people do use these.

I've heard of 2 or 3 of these. I don't text stuff like this.. I don't think parents have all that much to worry about.. but I guess I don't know that many teenagers outside of my high school xD
