Google Questions - What Haven't You Been Completely Honest About?
Someone found Datingish by Googling "my boyfriend found out that I stuff my bra". Uh, wasn't finding this out inevitable?
We've had readers who have lied about their age, who they've dated in the past and what happened in their relationships, and now this. Have you been dishonest with your BF/GF about anything?

Why would someone Google THAT?? Sick. The world is SICK!!
@yourkbear@xanga - Eh, it's not that bad. You should look at what pops up when Google autocompletes your phrase.
@yourkbear@xanga - how is that sick? Im sure a lot of middle school girls do it.
Anyways. As for the question, I've never lied to a boyfriend about something like that. I have however lied to a fuck buddy about my number. But I admitted it later on. lol
I'm with the original poster. Why in the world would someone try to hide bra-stuffing? Seriously...finding this one out is just...yeah...inevitable. On the upside, if a guy is the kind who considers bra-stuffing to be in the same class of 'deception' as hair color and makeup (i.e., not a big deal at all), a stuffed bra wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker.
I think we all keep secrets to one degree or another, and sometimes, we do so at the implied or explicit request of our partners. A person may not want to know your ex's name, or about your promiscuous days, or how many people you've been with or felt like you've been in love with. Another person might be okay with all of that, but not want to know something else, like how much you spend on shoes or makeup. It's a totally individual thing.
I guess the only real rules, when all is said and done, are to not hold back things that are matters of inevitable discovery, and to respect your partner's wishes on when and how much to share about everything else.
A guy I dated lied about his age to me. By one year. I don't get it, what difference does a year make?
i only tell slight white lies abt things that i know wont come back to haunt me...ya know something a sbig as stuffing your bra or what college you went to age that an inevitable fail...hes gonna find out....
but when im out like to bars and shit i lie about a lot o fthings cause im not looking for a relationship.
A guy lied to me about hs age. Is that a sign....?
I tell white lies when I was dating my husband and now, I still do. But it's not big. It's just the questions of - "Did you take check the mail today?" Yes. When I really mean no. "Did you feed Moonlight (my pet tortoise)?" Yes. Which I really mean no again. You know. Those white lies because you're too darn lazy actually do it and you don't want to get in trouble by not doing it. Har har.
Lol...
I haven't lied about anything.
Everyone lies a little bit, but I've never lied about anything big. Why would I? If I feel like I have to lie about things for him to like me then obviously the relationship is not ideal - not to say that I'll just tell him how many guys I've slept with, but if he asked I wouldn't lie.
I've definitely lied in relationships where I've either caught the other person lying or just felt like they were. I've also sabotaged some good relationships by jumping to conclusions.
White lies are inevitable and necessary to keep the peace.
@yourkbear@xanga - How is that sick?? You're either joking or extremely naive, there are horrible things being Googled right now. (lemonparty, 2girls1cup) I dare you to Google either of those.
i have never lie to my SO
@miss_prettyinpink@xanga - Lol... funny!
i don't lie, but i do fail to mention things.
Well, I lied to my ex when we were together. I don't think I will do the same again...
i'm brutally honest to the extent of being considered cold and cruel in life and buisness...
but i never seem to be able to be honest concerning my emotions and feelings, even with myself.
harmless white lies like if i finished my essay & reallly i half assed it & it still needs another page. i never lied about anything important. matter of fact im really against lying, especially about something important. & it bothers me when people & it bothers me when people lie about lying when i know they are. especially your significant other.
i'm sure i've lied plenty of times. but who hasnt?
hm. i've lied about my age...
and i've also lied about whether i liked my guy friend or not.
sorry exes. ha.
Who doesn't lie? See I'm honest about this.
LMAO! Well, my boyfriend is one of those guys who works out at least five days a week. He is always pushing me into working out, eating right, taking care of myself, etc. just because he is into it. I'm not as much into it as him, but his pestering gets on my nerves sometimes. So I told him I go to the gym twice a week, when in reality it is a required gym class I have to take to get my degree in school! One day he asked which gym classes I had, and I totally lied about which class it was (women's physical fitness). He still doesn't know! Thank god he hasn't asked which gym I go to yet... but I know it's coming.
I'm eventually honest about everything. People closest to me have grown to appreciate it, haha.
