Congratulations, You Survived V-Day
The day is over; candy is on sale; we can finally stop talking about it on the site.
How did this V-Day compare to others? Were you happier, more depressed or somewhere in the middle?
Also, what was the schmaltziest thing you saw or experienced yesterday?

Thought you said we can stop talking about it on the site.
yeah, uhh, i thought you said we could quit talking about it? ...
This V-day was much better. I stayed home, slept in, and watched a movie with my family.
Last year I was in the doctors office with my Papi and then-boyfriend at 9pm getting shots so I could breathe.
This was the first Valentine's Day I had a real valentine... so I was happier that in previous years.
I had a college audition, so I didn't think about it once the whole day, which is a good thing.
This was the first Valentine's Day that I actually noticed I was single. It didn't suck though. But if I had to listen to one more person whine about how they were going to be single forever, I was going to scream.
This Valentine's Day was way less enjoyable than the last one.
So can we stop talking about it now??
I think I didn't care about it as much this year, 'cause I had better things to do... but it was kind of sad compared to last year, 'cause my dad gave me a rose last year. This year I was totally on my own.
My SO is at another school, so we moved Valentine's day to last week, when he got to visit.
I took myself on a date to see"Romeo et Juliette" at the ballet, which was fantastic.
As I was walking to the bus stop, I was lamenting my lack of a local sweetheart, when I saw a boy with a bouquet of roses, walking alone. We made eye contact and smiled, and he handed me a pink rose, wished me a happy Valentine's day, and walked away. That definitely caught me offguard.
@vampuke@xanga - @rise_against_the_fray@xanga - same here...!
@Katja88@xanga - That's so sweet... wish that guy was round my area to give me a rose! :P
I spent Valentine's Day with my best friend watching movies and making brownies.
Who says you need a boy to have a good time on Feb. 14th?
this year's valentine's day was worse than the other year. my boyfriend and i are going through hard times, and i hoped valentine's day would help. unfortunately, he wasn't even around, he was gone for a competition . sigh ... it sucked staying home, knowing that he's gone.
IT SUCKED. End of story. It rained too. It hasn't rained here for a long time too, it all poured out yesterday.
I fell asleep half naked on webcam watching my boyfriend (who fell asleep half naked on webcam) who then woke up after I fell asleep and watched me sleep. And then fell asleep again. And now...here I am, somewhat awake and still half naked.
Man, LDRs suck!
mine was completely boring. i ended up staying at home all day by myself, because all of my friends are out of town for something or other and theres no place to go here.
no regrets about being single, though.
I was at a Model UN competition from Thursday-Saturday; let's just say that it brought on a whole new meaning to the phrase 'international relations'. One of the members of a foreign delegation gave me his phone number right before he left. Besides that, it was just a normal day.
my valentines day has been postponed til monday, but so far so good ! =p
I just ignored it and whatdoyaknow...it went away.
On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate this year a 5.
Just another Saturday.
I went clubbing with my good friends. We had a blast being single.
I had a GREAT Valentine's Day. I am single, and I LOVED it. I stuck to my diet, didn't touch any candy, and I'm a waitress, so Valentine's Day was GOOD for me. Lots of money!
Plus, I was super proud of myself for sticking to my diet and not being mopey all day!
Loved it, no need to get dressed up and get excited over super market flowers :)
I loved it. This is the best Valentine's day I ever had. My boyfriend flew home from London to surprise me. =)
He's been studying abroad there since September and he wasn't going to come home until June. xD <333
