  • Lonely? Hardly. Famous Singles in History

Once again, St. Valentine's Day is drawing near. And once again, Cupid can kiss my cute caboose.

In honor of Single's Awareness Day this year, instead of my usual bitter rant, I thought I would take this moment to celebrate not famous couples, but some famous singles...singles who are undoubtedly loved much more on their own than in combination with others.

    FAMOUS SINGLES IN HISTORY

    1) Peanut Butter and Jelly?  Meet GRILLED CHEESE.

Grilled cheese - so plain, yet soooooooooo delicious. Why taint it with anything fancy?  You pick a cheese, and the cheese stands alone. Hi ho the dairy, oh yes.

    2) Batman and Robin?  Meet FREAKAZOID.

We all know how well Foamy the Freakadog and Hand Man worked out...

    3) Two peas in a pod?  Meet THE PEA UNDER THE MATTRESSES.

Any commoner can feel two peas, but only true royalty is sensitive to a lone pea.  Heck, two might have broken the poor princess' back!

    4) Frankenstein and Bride?  Meet IGOR.

Pronounced "Eye-gore."  Anyone who told you otherwise was wrong then, weren't they?

    5) Cat and Fiddle, Cow and Moon, and Dish and Spoon?  Meet THE LITTLE DOG WHO LAUGHED TO SEE SUCH FUN.

Fiddle was Cat's rebound after Dog dumped her to mess around with Knife and Fork.  Cow is just an idiot

    6) Bert and Ernie?  Meet ELMO.

His solo, squeaky voice went on to star in his own half-hour segment at the end of every show.  Booya.

    7) Santa and Mrs. Claus?  Meet EASTER BUNNY.

Whereas you two still need elves to do your dirty work, the Easter Bunny personally and lovingly places each egg in a special hiding spot for the kiddies.  Just watch out for those chocolate ones.

    8) Cookies and milk?

Well... um... I hate to be the one to break it to you, Cookies, but... Milk's been cheating on you with Donuts.  Sorry, man.
