I never used to. When I'd practice with my neighbor when I was 12, my eyes were open, as were his. Three years later I had my first real passionate makeout fest with a kid named Zak. I felt like it was a little awkward.
Not only was it my full makeout session, but it was with a stranger. I didn't really know him; he was a friend of a friend and he was very cute. It was fun, but a little awkward, too, so I closed my eyes. As the night continued, I started to open my eyes when kissing him. I felt more comfortable with him. We ended up being great friends, and surprisingly enough - in a roundabout way, he introduced me to Marcus, the guy I'm with now.
Today I sometimes feel like I have to have my eyes open. I like watching Marcus loving up on me. I like to see his bright eyes as he pulls my head closer. Then, on impact, my eyes close. The amount of passion in some of his kisses are just out of this world. Other times, I can't help but keep my eyes open. Not that there is a lack of passion, it's just not the knock-you-off-your-feet kinda of kiss.
I don't know about y'all, but to me, when I see people kissing and their eyes are closed, I just feel kind of...like it's not real. Like they're putting on a show for everyone.
So here is my question. Do you kiss with your eyes open always? Why do you close them when you do...is it out of habit?

its been a while since i've kissed someone hahaha so in all honesty, i forget. i never really noticed. i'm pretty sure i start out the kiss with my eyes open but then they just kind of close like, halfway through.
I tend to close mine.
With my eyes closed, I can focus more on what I'm feeling than on what I'm seeing.

There's something just extra sensuous with your eyes closed. You can feel, smell and hear so much more. It's like it's an explosion of awareness.
Kissing is intimate... Kissing with your eyes closed is a way of saying..I am yours..I trust you..Dont hold back...
Eyes open freak me out. Who wants to take a peek during a makeout session and see someone staring at you wide eyed and slightly crosseyed?
Plus you feel as if you are doing something wrong or being critiqued.

i peek...mostly eyes closed tho. i guess it's just kinda rude to stare. it's awkward for me to stare when kissing.

I close my eyes because I always go cross-eyed when I try to keep them open, lol. My boyfriend usually keeps them open though, and he says it's really hot to see me open my eyes... but then really funny when they suddenly cross. Lol.

It's habit to close them. Every once in a blue moon I'll open them or keep them open, but most often you'll see my eyes closed, regardless if it's a make-out session, passionate kiss, quick peck, or even an air kiss.
I do it because it's easier to concentrate on both being kissed and who I'm kissing. Or in the rare situation of wanting to block out who I'm kissing or wanting to think about a different person than the person I'm currently engaged in a lip-lock with. However, since the only person I'm ever lip-locked with is my boyfriend, it's definitely a case of the first sentence, not the second.

well the first time i kissed someone, i had my eyes open .. and well .. looking in the other direction out the window .. then my ex cought me and he says "why didn't you close your eyes?" and thats when i realized that was an actual kiss .. OOPS! lol
