I woke up this morning to hear my roommate's boyfriend hissing expletives. He's been at my place since Friday night and I'm not really sure why he's still there - don't you have to work on Monday morning, dude?
Anyway, by the time I was lucid, he was calling my name and saying, "umm, do you have a mop? The toilet overflowed." And, of course, we only have a Swiffer. GOOD MORNING!
So he sort of cleans things up but leaves (!), at least first warning me, "You might not want to go in there - you should really have someone look at it." And now here I am at work, unshowered, going to buy a new bathmat (he threw ours away) and pretty livid.
Have you ever had a roommate with a boyfriend from hell? Other than smacking him over the head with our Swiffer, what can I do to keep this from happening again?

you wanna diplomatik solushunÂ
or do you wanna cut him
Ohhhh yes I have.
I would talk to your roommate about it and possibly discuss it with him.
Gooood luck!
Oh man, nothing like this has ever happened to me but it sounds horrible! Where was your roommate during all of this? At least get him to foot the bill!
That really sucks. He's rude!
Um, don't know what to tell you... I'm not the best at advice on these things...
but good luck! <3
Kill him.
LOL jk. But only if you couldn't get away with it =O
its your place too, if he can't respect that, he shouldn't be there at all. talk to your roommate and pressure him to pay for the damages.

Talk to your roommate and explain the situation. If he fails to adhere by those instructions, let your roommate know that he is making a mess. Even though he's a guest, he still needs to have manners and you shouldn't have to remind him of them nor do you have to clean up after him.
Thats why you ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have your own bathroom. 2/2 man.
I would make him pay for the bath mat and a mop.
If he insists of practically living there, he should pay to fix the toilet and a bath mat. Just an FYI (since my dad is a plumber)... Don't throw tampons down the toilet. The package says tampons can be flushed, but they really can't!
lock the bathroom door.
Make him pay for the damage.
all i have to say is...
lol...
You discuss this with your room mate.. and tell her thatn her boyfriend needs to clean up the effing mess and pay for what he ruined or hes not welcome there anymore. its that simple. its disrespectful.. and seriously?? its a BIOHAZARD literally.. that is SO bad for you leaving *ahem* crap everywhere.. this guy needs a serious talking too.. TODAY
Condoms will clog toilet That dude should dispose of it elsewhere and not to flush it.
I'm shocked that so many people jumped on the inconsiderate bastard bandwagon so quickly. It was probably an accident, and he was probably really embarrassed. Yes, he should have stayed and cleaned up everything like new, and you should definitely tell him AND your roommate that, but the guy isn't a monster. At worst he's a big eater with a strong gag reflux. He should have to clean your bathroom and fix anything that was damaged, but its not like he purposely vandalized your bathroom.
um...2 years ago my roommate's boyfriend threw her into a wall while they were fighting and then started crying uncontrollably and said he OD'd on drugs.
i am the queen of awkward boyfriend/roommate situations. take a plunger and shove it up his ass lol
Talk to your roommate about it and hopefully, your roommate will be smart enough to take care of the rest (the bf issue). If not, talk to the bf yourself. If he can can't respect you and your property by not cleaning up his mess and fixing the damage he caused, he shouldn't be welcome in the house anymore. Regardless if he was embarrassed or not, he shouldn't had left until he told you the whole I'm-going-to-fix-it deal and not run off.
What the heck? Your roommate or her boyfriend should pay for everything. Not you!
ewee, that sounds so nasty, i hope you've had that toilet sorted by now!
but yea, i agree with not jumping at his throat, he was probably really embarrassed!
i think it may be normal that he's staying over since he's there to see your room mate. if he does become a problem with things like that later... then give it a mention to your friend.
Never had a roomate, with an annoying boyfriend or girlfriend etc.
Talk to your roommate about it and if something like this happens again, he has to fix it or it would be his responsibility to pay for a plumber to repair any sort of damages.
I've had annoying roommates before, not their boyfriends. No more roommates for me!
hahaha.... that is hilarious...
but yeah, condoms should be wrapped in toilet paper and disposed of in the trash so really, nothing should be flushed down the toilet unless it's hair, or toilet paper.. everything else should just go into the trash.. otherwise, make sure you have a big toilet..
damn, now i don't feel like eating... no sushi tonight..
I haven't had such bad luck... phew!
