Men Shaving Places that Aren't Their Faces
Picture this: my guy and I are at a friend's house playing a drinking game with our buds. My beloved decides to strip down to his birthday suit, and as he lifts his arms to hug me, BAM, I see them.Hairless pits.
I can't help it. I give him a weird look. He follows my eyes and it dawns on him that I haven't seen this new grooming routine yet.
"Oh, that," he says. "I read that armpits are generally more smelly when there's hair in them for the stink to hold onto. So I buzzed them."
All right, I see his point. I'm pretty sure that is actually true. However, for some reason, seeing this weirded me out a little - especially because he's never done it before.
Would you have been weirded out too? Has your guy ever done something like this before? Was it something you felt you had to deal with?

...guys are supposed to have armpit hair. Not a whole lot, but it should be there. Their armpits aren't supposed to smell good, anyways.
That sounds like a spiffy idea to me!
I'm a guy who'll answer this personally.
I've tried it a few times and indeed, the smell does seem to go away easier. Plus, it's easier and more efficient to apply deodorant in this situation. However, I've asked some women their opinion on men doing it and they say "never shave your pits, legs, and only trim your pubes."
I personally think it varies from person to person. Some girls prefer guys with hair just on their head - body hair, chest, stomach, arms, armpits, legs, butt, etc, all have to go. Other women want their men more rugged.
tastes vary.
That'd be wierd. I'm really attracted to arm pit hair on guys.
@FallenReign@xanga - If you sniff female armpits, do they smell like roses? o.o
Yeah, I think it's weird.
@Just_call_me_the_underdog@xanga - It depends on the deodorant she uses :P
kinda weird to completely shave, but i would understand trimming men's underarm hair... i have seen some guys who have a LOT of hair there and it would probably be better if they just trimmed it so it wasn't so... poofy. same with the pubes (;
I know guys who shave their legs, so no, it wouldn't bother me. If I have to go through the hassle of shaving, why shouldn't they?
I would be a little weirded out too, but I wouldn't think anything of it. I mean, guys with massive bushes underneath their arms isn't exactly attractive.. or good-smelling either.
Don't guys in the olympics have to shave? To be faster.. or something..
no hair is AMAZING!
smooothness.
I likes it.
I would have been proud of him
;D
swimmers, like Michael Phelps, shave everything.
I don't mind
;]
I can't help but stare when I see deodorant chunks clinging to a man's pit hair. The thought of it coming into contact with me via an arm over the shoulder or a close hug is unnerving and makes me feel squidgy.
I don't think all guys should have a total body wax, but if it suddenly became fashionable for men to shave their armpits, I wouldn't be complaining.
I've shaved my pits before. It got a little cold for a bit, but they grew back. But, I felt no need to shave them anymore. It was only a test to see if there was any difference and, no, there wasn't because I'm generally not a stinky guy. Hahahah.
personally, i'd rather have guys shave their arm pits. i get turned off by arm pit air :X
i really dont give a shit haha
i like a man that has a hairy chest but my husband HATES body hair on himself and sometimes he'll go nuts and completely shave himself everywhere. it doesn't bother me i just think he's silly.
I prefer a shaven man. Body hair altogether anywhere is pretty gross..
I have male clients that I wax from head to toe and all points in between :D
But, I like hair on a man.
Get over it. People are different. There is no law saying guys can't shave their pits. Nothing is set in stone. In fact, YOU don't have to shave YOURS. No one HAS to do anything. It's all personal preference. If society doesn't like it, society can fuck off.
Just my opinion.
And I trim mine, for the record.
haha...this is funny to me, b/c I have a friend who shaves his arms, armpits, and legs. As matter of fact he shave more often than his girlfriend.
haha this is one funny subject. I don't think I'll ever shave my armpit hair lol
Honestly I think guys should shave their pits. I think its kinda gross. Like if he doesn't have a shirt on and goes to put his arm around you? ew lol.
But everyone has their own opinion I guess.
I wouldn't care. It's his body and his choice.
It doesn't really matter to me. I did date a guy once that shaved everywhere though (well he actually only trimmed his leg hair) and it didn't really bother me.
