This is a guest blog submitted by The_Prestigiator.I work part-time for a registry company and I keep spying these two products over and over on people's wish lists.
The first is called
Melt Chocolate Body Fondue (appropriately manufactured by Booty Parlor and sold in Victoria's Secret stores). The second is the
Tickle Me Intimacy Love Kit, also produced by Booty Parlor.
Sure, the Tickle Me looks fun mainly because of the tickle part, but I find it so random. I never perceived tickling as a sexy activity, but I guess it must be, because this product sells quickly! The chocolate fondue looks delicious, naturally, but personally I never understood why eating some sort of dessert off another individual is so popular. If I want food, I put it on a plate and grab a fork.
Sure, it seems all spicy and steamy in the movies; but I'm reminded of an episode of Ugly Betty where Betty attempts to seduce her boyfriend Henry by pouring hot chocolate syrup on him and he ends up getting burned. Ouch.
What is it about mixing food/toys (aka ticklish and sex that is so appealing? Have you ever tried similar products?
Does it really rev up a sex life or is it just something to try here and there?
Last, how would you react if you unwrapped these kinds of presents this holiday season?

I think using stuff like that is a turn off..
its like they're using that stuff to make up if its bad. I'd probably just laugh and walk away. xD
chocolate is sexy and yummy!!! xP
but i neva tried.....hehe...
Just FYI, tickling is a very stimulating activity, and like a lot of stimulating activities (ie. kissing, caressing, stroking), it does prepare your body for sexual stimulation. Also, it creates a playful atmosphere.
I think both can be fun if you are with the right person. :)
i tried once...it didn't really play out like i thought it would....a whole bunch of honey =no fun, just lots of shower time and carpet cleaning.
tickling on the other hand can be sexual in the right moments.
I've never tried anything with chocolate...though it does sound quite steamy.
However, I have a feeling it would end in disaster.
MY SO and I tried whipped cream once. It was really nice..until I got a yeast infection from the sugar.
i've tried. it got sticky, messy and pretty fucking gross, but gave us an excuse to take a bubble bath together.
That was my reaction too when I saw that Ugly Betty episode. Then she tried to make it better by putting ice cream on him. haha.
If I were to unwrap THAT this Christmas, I'd be like "um.. thanks? *walks away quickly*"
Haha, I think that depends on what kind of mood the two of you are in, and how open you are to trying something, communicating, etc.
They can both definitely enhance sex a lot!
Oh, and to answer your question: I'd be pleased, if a bit upset that he spent so much for something that we don't need a "kit" for!
@Like_Puddlesintherain@xanga - Never NEVER put sweets near your privates, for that exact reason. But anywhere else on your body (or anywhere on his) is fair game!
@darksaren88 - Try something a little less sticky. Chocolate, whipped cream (better homemade!), fruit, water, or any number of other foods may work a little more easily.
If you're concerned about carpet cleaning, either set down some towels/blankets before you start, or just try in the shower.
Merry Christmas INDEED.
Tickling encourages getting physical and rolling around.... you get the idea. Of course it's a sexy activity. Unlike trying to get your family pet to take shots, which involves the same things, but is decidedly un-sexy.
As for the chocolate.... if it doesn't work out the way you want, you could always wash it off... together! Yay for plan B.
I think part of the appeal is trying something new and different. Variety is the spice of life they say.
Having said that, while sex and food are two of the main loves of my life... I DON'T like to mix them. Sticky is just no fun to me. Tickling, I don't know, I never thought of it in a sexual manner, primarily as foreplay, although I have had tickle fights that ended up in sex, so, I guess it's a logical jump.
i've tried chocolate with strawberries and whipped cream. it's fun, if you use them in moderation. pour a little bit of chocolate on the man, just some dabs. wipe it off with the strawberry, suck on the strawberry, bite it. continue whipping off the dabs of chocolate and cream with the strawberries, sharing it with the other person. lick off the remaining little amounts of food. and you're clean. not messy. very sexy. i like teasing.
@la_faerie_joyeuse@xanga - haha yeah I know! I'm usually very careful about what goes near there. Even certain soaps. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. It was terrible.
If you want the medical reason for it: nerve endings. It's all different sensations....and sometimes, even myself, I find I get caught up in the "sex" portion and lose out on just spending time with my SO and exploring each other.
I've always found being tickled/tickling someone sexy...unless of course it is a friend or family member. But I mean tickling in the sense of the slow kind of tickle, not the monstrous attack kind.
Stuff like this is just a way to build up for sex and increase intimacy. There's a strong trend towards "gettin' to gettin'" these days and these sorts of products are a huge hit with couples who have been married for more than 4 years and couple who describe themselves as "serious" and sexually active with their partner but who have been dating for less than a year.
(My mom works for a marketing firm.... XD)
Haha, I've always celebrated Christmas with my family, and I can't imagine opening a gift like that in front of them. Awkward! How could I explain that to my nieces and nephews?
I can Understand how food can be sexy, and am willing to try it. But I can't see it ending well......
Tickling however..... Just extremely light, enough to leave goosebumbs and that delicious tingly feeling, does a lot for me :D Even tickle fights are sexy...just be careful if catching someone by suprise, once almost accidently broke a guys hand when he snuck up and tickled my sides...... fast, uncontrollable reflexes O_O
ahaha, i wonder how the whole body on food actually works out.
i guess it just plays up to people's fantasies? i mean you want to be all over that particular person.
and food and love, together? EXPLOSION.
but if i unwrapped that, i'd be tempted to eat that chocolate fondue right on the spot. ahah.
I get people doing both.
Me and my ex tickle each a lot. Generally just to have fun but it turn into playing around with each other. But I love tickling him because he screams like a little girl haha
The food thing is found too lol
We did caramel and whipped cream. It got a little messy, but then we just got in the shower :D
@aZnPrinCess888@xanga - lmao! they probably wouldn't anything else but the chocolate!
Keep blogging.
Good luck.

One of the most fun/sexy times we had involved a pina colada. Good times indeed!
@The_Prestigiator@xanga - and then what do I say to their parents? Fun post by the way!
