Friday Fun: My BF's A Mac But I'm A PC
Are you a Mac or a PC person? What about your BF/GF?
Does this cause any computer elitism arguments between you?

My guy is a graphic designer, so he is a MAC, while all I use for work is PC's, however MACs are SO much better than a PC, so even though I use PC's at work I would call myself a MAC girl! We don't fight over computers.
I'm a PC, don't have a significant other. I imagine that there would be some elitism, seeing as PCs are the superior form of computing. (Note - I'm not saying this based on operating systems. The PC hardware is superior.)
The simple answer to this dilemma--give up the PC and buy a Mac. Of course.
Honestly, when I met my fiance, I was a PC and he was a Mac...and he managed to convert me. Go fig. Now, I wouldn't go back to a PC permanently if I had to. So we never had much of an issue with elitist discussions. Had I not been converted, though, we probably would have.

I don't think we've ever fought about computers. I'm in IT so my SO just believes whatever I say. Mwahaha!
My boyfriend's PC and I'm Bi.
We don't argue about computers unless it's about how great my Mac runs WoW vs his shitty, years old and not taken care of desktop attempting to run WoW. Then again, that's not really an argument, more like a compliment session for my MacBook Pro.

PC all the way! the ex was a PC too. we didn't have fights over that... for once lol. I actually don't know a lot of people that are MACs, except for a small amount of people that I provide tech support for :o/

I'm a Mac ^_^ & I don't have a boyfriend, but my best friend has a PC & she's always bugging me for getting a Mac. I liked my mom's Dell desktop, but I love my Mac laptop, so I just block out all her negativity about my Mac =P A lot of my friends have been thinking of switching to Macs as well; one of my other best friends actually did! =D

Fortunately, my boyfriend & I are both PCs. So that's not an issue. :)

I dont have a girlfriend, but I would not find it a problem if she was a MAC girl.
I am a MAC girl, and not just with my SO but all my friends I try to get to MACs. But no it doesn't cause REAL arguments between us... just a lot of rapid teasing and "fun" arguments.
@akatiegirl - Yep, I agree. If just everyone went to MAC the world would be so much better.
My GF is a PC and I'm a Mac (even though I only have 2 PC laptops and 1 PC desktop). My GF however, has never used a Mac so she is a PC person purely because that's all she has used and she likes to play some PC only computer games. I would do anything to get a Mac and to be able to use it to convert my GF over to the correct side. Mac's are soooooo much better then a PC. I am a Media Student with Video Emphasis and I know first hand how much more power a Mac has over PC.

I'm a PC person all the way. GF converted to Macs about a year ago. We're pretty happy where we are at...
...side note, I'm pretty happy I dont have to trouble shot my gf computer issues. =) Go Mac support!...shes your problem now when it comes to that issue.
Well you know what they say... once you go Mac you can't go back. Or so I say. But if I had a PC boyfriend, I'd try to get him to see the simplicity of Macs but if he doesn't, then fine. It's doesn't seem worth the trouble of arguing about it.

LOL I don't have a Mac, I like my Dell fine, call me a PC if you may. I don't have a girlfriend but I don't care if she had a slow, lagging PC seeing how it's not part of the relationship

I would side with anyone that we would just get the better computer. What I hear is the MACs are superior to the P.C. but I'm more familiar with the p.c.
i have linux, os x, and xp, so i dont really care. but i have a thing for linux and os x.
I find it a million different kinds of funny that people get into actual arguments over this... my boyfriend is computer-illiterate (or all but, anyway), so the PC/Mac thing doesn't apply.
I have a Dell, and I love it, but I must say... Macs are amazing.

My boyfriend's a Mac (and is a dedicated Apple employee). I'm a PC, and I love it. I think we've only gotten into a handful of real arguments (which started off jokingly?) about Mac Vs. PC and now they're just dumb fights or poking at each others machine. His dream is for me to be a Mac girl. :\
we both have PCs, but I think she secretly wants a Mac. everytime the topic comes up, and I basically say how PCs are better, she ends up defending the Mac.
lately I've been doing research, and now I kinda want a Mac (the black Macbook!), just so I can have both and always have the best of both worlds.
Honestly, both types of computers have their flaws, and what I really want to see is one without all of the problems that both Macs and PCs have. Neither one can do something the other can't, it's just a matter of preference.
