I'm not cheesy, romantic or suave, but I really like this girl and I don't know how to tell her without looking like a total idiot.

Straight up.
Depends. If you're friends, you could just pull her aside one day and say something to the effect of "Hey, I like you."
If you don't know her at all, get shit-faced, walk up to her and say "You're hot, wanna fuck?"
I kid of course. The best course of action is to just talk to her and casually bring it up. If she responds positively, then you're probably in the clear. If she looks at you like you've got three heads, then it might be time to focus your affections on another girl.

Just tell her. I hate it when guys play games and "try" to act all suave and charming. It makes me want to be mean to them. (And I am). The best way is to just tell her directly. Trust me. Just ask her out on a date. There really isn't anything more complicated to it. I promise. The worst she can do is say no, right? And that's not the end of the world.
How about something like, "Hey, I dig you?"
Ask her if she would like to get dinner sometime or maybe mix it up like movie, walk, coffee, bingo . . . .
why don't u just ask her out on a date?
Guys really underestimate the awesomeness of being straightforward. God the pain and awkwardness that could be avoided if people would just tell each other up front that they have feelings for each other! Forget the mind games, the back and forth I think you like me but I'm not sure so I'm gonna keep prodding to see if I can find something out...seriously dude, just go for it.

i think you shouldn't just go up and say 'i like you' or something because if someone did that to me i'd find that awkward... i think you should just ease into it, ask her to hang out/do something fun (aka date, but don't say 'date' when you ask her) and then just go from there. once hanging out becomes regular and she seems to be responding positively then just slip it in... or just kiss her. haha

Give her a flower and say something funny that hints around it. My last boyfriend did that and I totally swooned, lol.

Then go on to describe her. She should realize that it is about her. And even if she doesn't, just follow whatever advice she gives you.Moktral's method is preferable. Otherwise, I like the good old fashioned "hey, I like you", but you might want to settle for asking her out a few times if you're not already tight.
i have done it a couple of ways.
1. just come out and say it. the direct approach is cool
2. a nice card that is blank inside and you write, "hey...just wanted you to know that i like you."

What guys dont realize is that girls dont think that coming forward makes them look like idiots. We actually like guys to make the move. Atleast I do. Dealing with girls can be alot more simple than guys make them out to be. We are not as critical towards them as they think we are. A girl likes to feel special anyways. So I say just call her and everything else will fall into place. That in my opinion has to be the most painless way to tell her. You dont need to be a smooth talker or even cheesy.
Just be straightforward and tell her how you feel.You never know, she might like you too. But you will never know unless you make the first move.
hmm i would say i disagree with the age-old confess your feelings shtik. overall i would advise to talk to her, ask her on a hang out sessions which could be perceived as a date but is not necessarily one. then feel the vibes, and if the night goes well, (and if you pay for at least one thing) guarantee she will show yu how she feels by her move at the end. key to women: let them come to you sexually, got o them emotionally.
