  • Could You Pull A Hugh Hefner And Have 3 GFs at Once?

    Miss Double Shot

The world is coming to an end, you guys - Hugh Hefner and one of his three girlfriends, Holly Madison, have called it quits. I can no longer believe in true love.

Anyway, sarcasm aside, you have to hand it to the guy for being able to handle three girlfriends at once. It doesn't matter if he was really only into one of them; Hef kept them all straight and could manage to show each of them affection simultaneously. That's pretty incredible, if you ask me.

We've gotten a fair number of hits from people who are seeing two girls or guys at once and are having trouble keeping their relationships steady, and I can't imagine what that must be like - I know I'd mix the guys up or reference something the other one said to me . . .

Have you ever tried to date two people at once? How'd it go? Did you ever slip up and mention the other guy or girl?

Nope, I believe in dating one person and only giving them your attention and love.

  • regindyn@xanga

I can barely manage one at any given moment in time.  So absolutely not.

  • daeshii@xanga

It's doeable but it's like everything else: requires real communication.  The difference between Hef's situation (aside from the fact that all three girls were very independent) and most mundane folks is that 1) the girls all knew about each other, 2) Hef made the extra effort and 3) the girls didn't hold it against him if he mixed things up.  Polyamory is alive and well in these United States, but the successful ones are, er, successful due to good, solid communication.  Without it, the relationship is due to fail.  Yanno, just like a twosome.

I've done it before. It's work, but what relationship worth having isn't?

One is enough for me. I couldn't have more than one guy because I wouldn't know how to juggle time with both of them.

  • asrial86@xanga

I feel that it would suck if my boyfriend had myself and another girlfriend...

  • AnonymousBlonde@xanga

I did it once.  One of them knew that I was seeing two guys, the other did not.  I ended up dumping the guy who knew because it wasn't fair to him to drag him through the muck of my personal drama.

I've dated multiple guys casually. It did become a problem keeping them straight after a little while though... Haha. But that's a little different than having three girlfriends living under one roof and knowing each other and hanging out.

Honestly though, my question is more for the multiple datees. How could you be ok with that? Hanging out with the girls, seeing him give them affection, knowing they were sleeping with him too...? I couldn't do it. Just like the whole polygamy thing... I could not be one of a few wives. I'm not even a jealous person most of the time, but I just couldn't handle that.

wait is this a relationship date or just gg out having coffee or watching movie date...

i mean it just a date it not a relationship i dun see why not.... i think...hehe

I'm not hating on Hugh Hefner or anything, he seems like a cool old guy, but seriously... he shouldn't be respected for 'being able to handle three girlfriends at once.' I'm sure it wasn't a problem for him, having three attractive young girls at his disposal. It just goes to show how desperate for money these young girls are - they might as well be prostitutes. I'm sure they developed an honest, caring relationship with him eventually, but why do you think they were interested in him in the first place?

  • ElusiveSoul@xanga

There's no way I'd be able to do that! I believe in being faithful to one person at a time, not juggling multiple relationships at once! lol Maybe if I was into polygamy I'd find it okay, but I'm pretty territorial and I'd HATE it if a guy I was dating had other women on the side!

  • ElusiveSoul@xanga

@moi_gigi@xanga - I'm pretty sure it wasn't for his charming personality! Can you say "Gold digger"? lol

  • TheOriginalImperial@xanga

Kendra has confirmed that her relationship is over with Hef as well.  Surely, there are more girls looking to be in Playboy and Hugh Hefner will not be alone for long.

I'd never have 3 boyfriends, ewwww.  I wouldn't be 1 of 3 girlfriends either.  Ewwww again.

  • irishgrrl690@xanga

I've been affectionate with more than one fellow at once. There have been times when I have been going on dates with the same bunch of three or four guys for months at a time, never really being committed to any of them.

I believe that's called playing the field? haha
"Seriously" dating more than one guy would be painful since I give so much to serious relationships. I would be totally drained!
  • sarakoettel@xanga

i don't know if this is what you are talking about but i live and sleep with one guy... and i have this new guy that i spend time with and like make out and cuddle and stuff.  i go out on dates with both and are friends with both families. the guys don't know about each other and since both of them wouldn't want to publicly date me, it stays pretty easy to keep quiet.  One of them works the night shift so i spend evenings and weekends with him and the other i spend time with around that.  I skateboard with them both sometimes at the same time, same parks... I know it makes me seem like a skank or whatever, but they don't want to make me their number one and only, so why should either of them be my one and only?

  • oOBuBBLes711Oo@xanga

I feel sorry for Holly; she really seemed in love with him. I guess Heff's mind is not on monogamy. He wants to play out his Playboy LIFE.

As for Heff...I guess I can kinda see where hes coming from. He's old...he only has about ten years left...and since he's a horndog...why commit to just one when he can have countless young flesh? Holly's gotta move on bc she still gorgeous and "normal" time for getting hitched is a tickin'. She needs to get herself back on the market so she could be swept off her feet.

  • Trigger821@xanga

No thanks, I only have one heart to give.

  • aN_amAYzInG_storrII@xanga

oh God no, i can barely handle one person at a time. let alone two.

  • lovemonkeyy@xanga

I can't even handle one person. I only have one heart and the last thing I want to do is split it up.

Wasn't the Hef's "main" girlfriend Holly? The other two were just... there. Kendra and the other chick had their own room and Holly slept in his room. She was the one who actually worked, anyway.

  • jameelah1113

You know what i just thought about...

Would you consider Hugh H. a polygamist?? ( i'm not sure if i spelled that right... haha i think so) But yeah, if you think about it...Cause the women have to get along with eachother...and not be jealous....etc..Or does Polygamy only apply if they're married?? Just wondering =P lol
  • eternal_dreaming@xanga

That's a no-no in my book. It just won't fly.. It's me or the other girl. Sorry. I'm a one-girl-one-guy kinda girl. :) I'm selfish & I don't want to share my boyfriend with anyone else. I dunno how they did that!

  • miss_prettyinpink@xanga

I think their contracts expired and they decided they didn't want to do it anymore. Haha.

Sure, I think I could have multiple bfs. Dating multiple people is fun, but being in multiple relationships is probably harder. I don't think I could be one of multiple gfs though.

  • Angelina_Everlong@xanga

One is scary.  So you know I'm two scared to try multiple people.

That's too bad for Holly.  She seems way into him.

  • xjuuuu@xanga

I personally don't believe in it.
But I think my bf does, and I think hes doing it but when I confront him he never answers me.

    Honestly though,
Just a tip for the guys,
if you end up dating a girl who thinks the same as I do,
I highly recommend that you don't try to date more than 1 girl at once,
    'cause maybe, JUST MAYBE,
you won't get a chance to see the sun the next day.

    well.. ok maybe not.
but raising hell is mandatory if it ever happens!

  • j_u_n_ebug@xanga

Once, just recently. What a mistake. It's so weird because before it happened, I would totally be saying I would never do something like that. Anyway, I was stupid about it. I was texting one while I was in the other's bed saying like "I'm so close to you, I could spit on your apt." and he was reading. Doesn't sound bad because I could have easily said he was just one of my friends or something, but he read the name and they were friends (without my knowledge!) so he started saying like, "why do you know where he lives, blah blah blah." Eventually I lost both of them. I wouldn't do it again, and I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone else. It's harrrrrrd to juggle both!
