Featured Comment: When's Your Anniversary (Or Lack Thereof)?
To this day I don't know what our anniversary is cause we never took a
day to make anything official. It makes me wonder, how do people
celebrate anniversaries if there is no official day to put the title on
it?

When is your anniversary? If you don't have a specific one, like happybunni21 mentioned, did you choose a different day?

We chose the day we first kissed. (May 20th)
:) It turned out to be the most meaningful day because it's when we realized that when we were together everything just felt serene and whole.
We still celebrate the anniversary of the day he asked me to be his girlfriend(Jan 6th). He kissed me the night before he asked, so we kind of have a two day celebration.
I just go by the day of our first date [July 2nd], because we've kinda been inseparable ever since.
Three months today =]
Whenever that title was giving, I say that's the day I choose for celebration.
we have a bunch, but it will be combined into one very soon :)
january 28- the day we admitted we liked each other (although we don't celebrate this on seriously anymore; it still makes us laugh though)
april 30- official bf/gf
january 10 will be our official married couple anniversary <3
The girl in that picture has really nice nails.
January 16th, the day he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.
My best friend and her boyfriend don't really have a day like that though, so they use the day when she was leaving for a missions trip and was gonna be gone over prom, and he told her that he would have asked her if she was gonna be there for it. They didn't actually start going out and acknowledging their relationship for a month or so, but they like to make it sound longer by using that day xD
@fayebernoulli@xanga - It took 3 months for you guys to go from admitting you liked each other to official bf/gf??
That is cute and kind of hilarious too.
September 21st -- when he asked me to be his girlfriend. [2 years~ w00t!]
However April 11th [411] is a special date too.. it's when we had our "dtr" [defined the relationship] as in we revealed to each other we had feelings for one another.
We chose july 4th w/e as the anniversary when we met (13 yrs ago!), MLK w/e to when we decided to make it official but the only anniversary we really celebrate nowadays is our wedding anniversary!
@paperairplane_icons@xanga - oh haha, i didn't put the years: jan 28, 2006 to april 30, 2007. waaaay more than 3 months. =P the facebook status was "it's complicated" during that time, and complicated it was!
August 17, when he gave me a card saying: Are you gonna be my girl? (the song by Jet) And I still have it :) We're together for more than 2 years.
I'm pretty sure it's April 8th. and I remember it was a Tuesday cuz we went to the movies that and it was cheap haha. But the movie was so boring. Leatherheads...stick with The Office, John Krasinski.
I always assign a day - maybe our first date, maybe the day we had the "official" talk. Or just a random day that sticks out in my memory as fond. For example, my last ex and I made it official on my birthday but that was not an acceptable date to me because if he broke my heart (which he did) I did not want to think about our anniversary on my birthday. Plus I wanted two reasons to celebrate. And we had been "dating" for almost 4 months at that point so I thought it silly to not acknowledge some of that time.
Well, with my ex-boyfriend, we had been seeing each other for a while before we kind of just gradually transitioned into the "boyfriend/girlfriend" thing.
We didn't have a specific date because neither one of us officially asked the other out, but we decided that it would be the day we met because that was the only significant day that we actually knew the date of.
It worked out for the 2 and a half years that we were together.
Now in my current relationship, its kind of debatable what the exact date would be because it was somewhere between the night of February 29th and the morning of March 1st, so he and I just decided for it to be March 1st because we didn't want to have to wait every four years to "officially" celebrate our anniversary :3
@morbidlywonderful@xanga - Heyyyy, I thought Leatherheads was awesome! lol XD
@paperairplane_icons@xanga - It took me and my boyfriend a year after we told each other we liked each other for us to get together. It sucks t have to go through that for so long, but we weren't ready for a relationship yet, but it all worked out because now I think I've found the one :3
~funny... I was just blogging about this the other day! Since we've all grown up there wasn't the question of "will you be my g/f"! So I chose the first date we had... but found that in my journal that it was actually a month later that he said we were official... but if I can recall it right... he only said that because I said I wouldn't care about a certain subject because he's not my bf yet?! And he said... yea we are?! So then... it moved to that date! It always bothered me though... that we didn't have a date to where we can actually celebrate... however... I already did a few things for him for the 1 year for our first date anniversary...but it bothered me not quite knowing what we are... so... on the day that it was said to be official... i asked him out! ehehhe... So although we've been together for a bit over a year... we just officialized it 2 days ago! =) realized... it didn't make a difference of how I felt!
December 29th was the day we agreed to be official. We call it our "monthiversary" and acknowledge it each month.
July 1st we go by the day we got married
When we were dating we just used the day of our first "date" which is my birthday (November 4th)... our wedding anniversary is August 31st
Ours is October 16...for the pass three years we have been celebrating it.
Our soon to be Wedding Anniversary will be April 25...But We first met April 28...I tried to get it as close as possible to that date...
awww...Anniversaries...are great!
October 27th (woo our 1 year is coming up!)
