Miss Penguin In my rather limited experience, I have to say that more often than
not, if I'm fooling around with someone, the guy is more likely to
prefer the lights on. As a girl, I am not always 100% comfortable with
my body image (it comes and goes) so sometimes when clothes are coming
off I prefer the lights off. But other times I don't so much care.
The
funny thing is, once I dated this guy who was the opposite. We were
just kissing and he'd be like "can we turn off the light?" It was
immediate with him. If he thought there was even the possibility of
more than kissing happening, he would ask to turn off the light. I was
really thrown off by this at first because, like I said, most guys I've
dated seem not to care or prefer the light on. I thought it was
interesting that for once I wasn't the one asking to turn off the light.
What do you prefer? Lights on or lights off?

I prefer lights off most of the time. It makes the experience better because I don't have to worry about my body image. When I get comfortable with someone who I have been with for a long time, the lights don't end mattering anymore though. I guess it just depends on the situation. It's strange that a guy preferred the lights off though... maybe he was hiding something. haha
I prefer candlelight. I don't want the lights on because they're so harsh, but I don't want the lights off because I want to see him, and I want to know he's seeing me(not lights off imagining some hot model or something). I guess I just want the visual connection. I'm big on eye contact.
lights have never mattered for me. they're usually on. it doesn't really matter, since we do stuff in the basement and if someone walks down they're gonna see either way.
Both, depending, I like lights on sometimes, but not the bedroom light thats too bright so maybe the hall light or the closet light, I LOVE candle light, and I also like no light for the sensual experience where you partner doesnt know whats gonna come next
Depends on how comfortable I am with the person. If I feel uncomfortable with the lights on that probably means I am uncomfortable with the guy and usually everything ends at that moment.
lights off. lol
Generally, I prefer dimmed lights. That way you're not so focused on your surroundings, but you can still enjoy the view :)
Lights on, please!
Lights on, even though I'm sensitive over my body image. :\
@SnuggleBug2008@xanga - Bingo!
@SnuggleBug2008@xanga - Ditto!
doesn't really matter as when you are in the 'heat', you wouldn't care about the lights.
Off. Guys always say they like us for who we are, but when they're in their big boy groups talking about girls and criticizing "fatties" and making comments about our thighs and stuff, I can't help but wonder why they think we're insecure.
Granted I'm still pretty young and I've a ways to go before I get into the mindset of "screw you, I'm hot no matter what you say"
lights dim.
the only way to go.
Gah! Women and body image!
I prefer the lights dimmed because it creates a romantic setting. That and bright lights annoy me.
light dimmer, ftw! :)
I had sexual escapades in so many places with my ex that I don't even notice the lighting, nor did I care. The only time I wanted the lights off was around the holidays, since I had enough candles in the house to not have any lights on, which ended up being kinda romantic.
Lately it's been all lights off though. I think the guy I'm with is really self conscious and I'm not going to bug him about it.
But yeah, light dimmer sounds like a perfect solution.
Lights off, but occasionally my husband wins the battle and they stay on
The lights are going to stay however the hell they are when I get started. I don't have time to go mess around with the lights.
i lights on for sure.
i prefer lights off but if theyre on we dont stop to turn them off. the best lighting was moonlight from a big window. theres a lot of morning sunlight fooling around too...
booty call, lights off, a woman that i truly love, lights on unless told otherwise.
Lights on!
I used to prefer lights off because I was a little bit uncomfortable with my body image (so typical >.<), but now I don't mind the lights on because of how good he's made me feel about myself. Lights off is a lot of fun though, you can't see anything so there's a heightened sense and imagination for what's going on hehe!
lights OFF~
