Love Song Lyrics Are Lingering...
This is a guest blog submitted by a Datingish reader.
Maybe we're friends, maybe we're more
Maybe it's just my imagination
But I see you stare just a little too long
And it makes me start to wonder
So baby, call me crazy
But I think you feel it too
Maybe I, Maybe I, just gotta get next to you
These words from Jordin Sparks' song "Next to You" have been lingering in my mind lately.
How do you know if the person you like has the same feelings for you? Do you trust your head or your heart?

I believe you trust both.
You find a balance, and you ask. :]
Trust both, for sure.
Look in your heart, then search through your mind.
BY THE WAY, that Jordin Sparks song is awesome. Love it.
i think you just know. if you're not so oblivious.
and haa, why not just ask?: ] lol
Just do it.
That's a question I've been asking myself. I think it's more your head.
Just tell him.
The boyfriend told me that he liked me and he was so nervous i would say no and ruin our friendship.
Good friends can get over any uncomfortable moment.
Xo
i trust my heart
then i use my head and ask.
if i was right
i ask for the next step.
or he does the next step.
take a chance and never regret.
take a risk.
make it memorable while it last.
IT's so funny because this is EXACTLY what i've been contemplating in this half relationship i've been stuck in. Honestly ya gotta go with your heart. Worst that can happen is you get hurt, but if you go with your head you may always end up wondering "What if".
yeah, you definitely must go with your heart. the heart has it´s reasons of which the mind knows nothing.
just let it out. Nothing ain't happening if you keep it in :)
you can never know unless you ask.
A lot of people say both, but I say you trust your head because when it comes to the matter of the heart it's more about your feelings not theirs and just because you like them doesn't mean they like you back. You look for little signs and what they say. Also you can ask them if they like you.
neither... or both.
you really need to trust your intuition. either that, or do a lot of research on body language. even so, your subconscious will catch onto a lot of the body language and hints that you might ignore consciously and give you an idea of how he's feeling.
though, the easiest way is just to ask.
Find a balance.
And when all else fails, make the first step.
Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
Or. Something like that.
I trust both, and I go with the flow.
@XxNoLifeKing_AlucardxX@xanga - me too.. =)
Sometimes I wonder if my mind is blinded by what my heart wants.
It is difficult sometimes to trust ether. Your head can be ruled by many things and can change with in seconds. Your heart on the other hand is hard to tell apart from your head. So in the end it takes a little of both, your heart telling you to go for it, and you mind telling you it will be ok even if your heart is broken.
Well, I just go for it from my heart and if it doesn't work out, then I leave.
..well, that's what I try. But sometimes that doesn't work out... er.. literally.
Wow, I'm going to have to get that song! It seems like there are so many people who are going through this every day. Trust yourself and your friendship with this person. If they feel the same way, it is the most fantastic feeling - but you will never know unless you take that leap.
I had that song on rotation and in my head lingering just recently as well. Sweet song. Well, like it said, just get "next to him." A little longer and maybe you can really tell.
Gut feeling, I say look in your heart.
Use your head to see if it's possible, in a practical sense.
You follow both. Love is not black and white. You cannot judge it because the love you feel is different. I think each individual feels love differently. You have different expectations, intensity, morals, and sensitivity.
Love would be easier if it was black and white.
