    Dear Datingish,

This is a passage from my autobiographical novel "My Sexual History" posted on Xanga HERE.

Having a "girlfriend" was a social necessity in middle school. In our school, boys gave their steady girls their St. Christopher medal. I had to borrow one of these from a Catholic friend of mine, and I presented this to Criss one evening at one of the school dances, which were held every Friday night. She accepted immediately. I didn't initiate the idea that we kiss, however. I was still too innocent of mind and heart to do that. She passed me one of those "quizzes" that kids pass around in school one day in class, which had the "reward" of "a kiss". I remember reading the quiz "prize" and feeling that I was about to step over one of the "boundries" of life, and that this was going to be a special event. I told Criss we would plan this event. It took place almost two weeks later, at a party for another girl, and lasted for a long time. I would now claim that this was a life affirming and changing event for me, awash with memory's thrall. Our lips met, and we breathed each other deeply, probing and sampling the slick taste of our saliva in each other's mouths. I didn't like to be touched. The feeling of kissing a girl of whom I was especially fond, was a feeling of overpowering emotion. The fear of touching abated somewhat. I was in a lovestruck daze for days. I had not yet "made out" although another girl in our group attempted to get me to make out with her on more than one occasion. Criss and I never kissed again, and after eighth grade, I was with a group of students who lived far enough away they had to attend a different high school.

@ThePhilsBlogBar@xanga - I'm with you on this one - only I'm waiting for one of the male gender.

My first kiss was actually very romantic. It was with my first boyfriend and we were both 18. We went to the beach early in the morning to watch the sunrise, and it started raining while we sat in the bed of his truck. We scrambled into the cab and sat there waiting for the rain to stop, and he just leaned over and kissed me. I remember thinking "this is it? this is what everyone is so excited about? I don't get it!"

    I get it now

My first kiss was in a rather romantic setting, despite what I think of the boy now.
He was adorable, and kept asking me stuff about kissing. He'd asked if I'd ever been kissed before, and I said no... and he asked what I'd do if he tried to be the first.
This was the summer before my freshman year, i think.

Anyway, it was a bright sunny day and we were at the park. We were sitting on the bar of the seesaws and The flowers on the trees were all hanging down in front of us. He was nervous, and went in to kiss me....
    ... and...
    sirens.

    A fire truck went by.

Totally ruined it, but... after we got over the initial shock, he kissed me.

Ugh. I hated my first kiss.

The guy ended up just using me and his breath smelled awful and he drooled more than my dog...and I have a BLOODHOUND!

    It was nasty.

My first kiss was pretty romantic. I had never kissed a girl before, but I knew I was onto something special when I spotted this girl. We were at my best friend's house, and she was getting ready to leave because her ride came. During the whole party, she made it obvious to me that she had a thing for me, and I felt the same way about her, but we only took it as far as flirting, so as not to cause so much "Are they dating?" talk. She called me over from the party and got me to say goodbye to her. It started with me saying "When am I going to see you again?" And she didnt really answer and instead she kissed me. It was unlike anything I've done before. Having not kissed a girl before, I felt like I had kinda become someone greater than who I was before. It was amazing, and I was told later that I'm a good kisser, not to brag, but what can I say

About 2 weeks later, after seeing each other and getting to know each other on a more personal level, we started dating.  However, I'm sad to reveal that we are separated and she is dating someone else, while I'm single. We were together for almost a year (11 and a half months, to be exact) and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was love in its truest form, but it was not meant to be.  Such is life.

My first kiss wasn't really all that romantic.  I was sitting on my boyfriend's couch, watching Pokemon of all things, when he gently turned my head by my chin before kissing me.  Really, he has more of a manly type kiss, being that it's sort of rough and casual.

I do think it's nice when people remember their first kiss.  The sweetness of that love is comforting in a world gone cold.~ Peace and Love

I was seven, and I was in love with the class badass, so one day during recess I pounced on him underneath the slide and kissed him like a grown-up. I ran home that day to tell my parents and they laughed at me, a lot. I used to be quite the aggressor...

My first kiss was during Winter Break my 8th grade year. I was at the beach with my family. My friend and I met two guys at the pool the night before and we went to go tell them we were going to the pool again. The guy was like 'Hey come here a minute' and my friend had already gone down the stairs so I walked back to him and he gently lifted my chin and kissed me. We spent the rest of our vacation getting to know eachother and still talk to this day (i'm about to begin my Senior Year of High School)

My first kiss took place when I was in eighth grade on a school bus. The boy was my brother's friend and we were arguing about something when he jumped over the seat. By now, everyone still on the bus was watching! He whispered something dumb to me and then he pushed me back a little and kissed me. It was a strange kiss, he was chewing gum and I hate gum. I was so embarrassed that everyone had witnessed my first kiss! Now I look back and laugh.

My first kiss was at prom with this guy I had a crush on. When my favourite song came on, I told him and he just smiled at me and said "then it's perfect", and kissed me.

Honestly, it wasn't as romantic as it might seem, and prom was definitely something I wouldn't like to be reminded of but happy endings.. I'm still with that guy now.

  • laytexduckie@xanga

I don't even know what counts as a first kiss anymore. Being the curious kids me and my friends were, we always played Spin the Bottle when we got together. Even then when I had a girlfriend, I don't remember where. =P

  • nbdyzangel@xanga

My first kiss was in the 7th grade. I had a major crush on the guy for years. We met at our karate school. He was 3 years older than I, so when he finally asked me out, I was really excited. About a week into our relationship we were sitting on the couch and he just started tickling me. The dork that I am, went into a spazattack and fell off the couch. I turned around and looked at him all helpless and he just laughed and leaned in to kiss me. He wasn't all that much more experienced, but it was still a nice kiss that I still remember several years later. And he never fails to remind me of how good that kiss was whenever he kisses me now. We broke up, but after some years and maturation, we got back together. It's been over 2 1/2 years since we've been togethr again and I still get those butterflies =D

  • MessyRockstar@xanga

my first kiss actually very good, 8th grade, he walked me home, we'd been going out for two weeks or so by then, so the most i'd ever done was kiss him on the cheek. so he walked me home we had a great conversation. then we made it to my house, i gave him a hug and turned to go inside, he grabbed my arm and brought me back into him and he kissed me.

    it's was cute :]

  • la_magdalena@xanga

it was with a terrible guy - oh I felt so bad for whoever dated him before and afterward

at any rate I was maybe fifteen or sixteen and in high school

it can be best described as a dog licking the peanut butter off your face - disgusting.

@maggieheartzyou@xanga - @lauralen@xanga - @ThePhilsBlogBar@xanga - Same here. I'm yet to have my first kiss and would like to give it on my wedding day.

Sometimes reading stories like these makes me jealous for an experience like that, but I know waiting will be worth it.

My first good kiss was during spring break of college. He was awesome! Even though I only met him one night it was coool. Wanted to do more but just didn't. But I won't forget him.

  • NiDH0GG@xanga

I don't know if it was romantic or not but sure it was like a goal in World Cup!

  • emptystares@xanga

I was younga nd really liked the guy, but I couldn't help but hope that every kiss was going to be as sloppy and wet as our first. Blech!

  • my0nlyh0p3@xanga

I don't have a story to tell yet.

But when I do...I have a certain someone in mind playing the opposing role. ;)
