TMZ was on. The site/show had taken a Who'd You Rather?" poll featuring Olympic athletes and celebrities - more specifically, they compared Michael Phelps and George Clooney.
Phelps' recent popularity has been on an astronomical
rise, his Facebook fan page has over one million fans. George Clooney is
known for having dated some of the most beautiful women in the world and
never having enough of them (oh yeah, and he's been named People's Sexiest Man Alive twice). Phelps has yet to be spotted with one of those gorgeous ladies or been awarded People's honors,
but the poll had him ahead 50% to Clooney's 46%.
Like many of the
responses to the post by Miss Double Shot,
talent makes him much more
attractive. Winning eight gold medals apparently makes him more desirable
than George Clooney.
Will it matter six months from now since most people don’t pay attention to swimming unless it's the Olympics? Or do Clooney's womanizing ways keep Phelps in the minds of millions of women?
Would you rather be with an actor like Clooney or an athlete like Phelps?

If you just want a tight body for some fun = Phelps.
i will forever love clooney, no 8-time world breaking gold medalist will get in the way of that.
I wouldn't date someone based solely on their fame, talent or good looks. Both of them have all three of those traits, but who cares? It's all fleeting anyway. Not to say I haven't judged someone using that criteria, but it's just not that important.
That said, I do like Clooney, but I haven't been keeping up with the Olympics either.

I fell in love with Phelps back in 2004. He's my boy.
I don't think Phelps is all that attractive. Talented, yes, but not all that good looking. And I'm so tired of hearing about him...

an athlete like Phelps is very busy with something I have little passion for. And he is over a foot taller than me.
A womaizing actor like Clooney is not someone I would want my kids to be like. That's not the kind of man i want.
I think Clooney, although too old for me, is better looking. I'd rather meet him because I like acting and find it more interesting than sports, but I wouldn't want to meet him alone or have it be in anyway romantic.
I think Phelps comes across as more trustworthy, so even though he doesn't appear to be my type, I would feel less on guard meeting him. But wouldn't want to be with him, even if he is as trustworthy as he looks like he could be.
So neither...
I really like George Clooney because he's so adamantly the bachelor. Sure, he's kind of a womanizer, but he's also charming and a pretty talented actor, and he's also hilarious in interviews. If it matters, I also think he's more attractive than Phelps.
phelps is nice and all and i think he's quite attractive, but he's no clooney, yanno? clooney has been the standard for good-looking men since long before i was born. yes, phelps is nice to look at and he's athletic and he seems trustworthy and nice and all those good things, but at the same time... george clooney is effing george clooney. 'nuff said, in my opinion. :]
