This is a guest blog submitted by sahar. Most all of us have been on Craig's List, whether we're in search of an apartment, a job, or used furniture - it's a pretty useful website.
There
is, of course,
that one section on Craig's List that is somewhat
questionable: the personals. As I was doing my research for this
post, I came across a wide variety of personals. Some of them were
pretty normal - a young girl seeking a male to spend some time with; she
likes strolling around Seattle with coffee and enjoys partying.
Then
we have the slightly more creepy boy looking for a girl to spend a
summer's day with . . . he looks like he's 15
and he's looking for a girl from ages 18 - 50.
And then there's one of
my favorites,
the girl asking for her period. She's wondering if a fetus is in the way of them hooking up.
I just can't stop reading these amusing personals, but I'd never respond to them or make one myself.
Have you ever posted on Craig's List looking for love? If you haven't, would you ever consider it?

LOL I actually haven't browsed on Craig's List ever before.. The Cramps post is hilarious though. Wow. So yeah, I've never posted on Craig's List and I don't think I'd ever plan on it... One of my friends, however, posted a personal ad a long time ago and is actually about to get married to the guy she met off there... so I suppose it works in some cases?
missed connections is fun
I have... and received numerous offers for beej's for cash. Totally not going there again.
i've responded, but i'd never post. or if i did post, i'd just want to see who would respond and i'd never post my picture.
i'm pretty open minded about everything so one day I think i'll
definitely give it a try. perhaps not necessarily for love, maybe just
to hang out and meet people. i've read some ads and some of them seem
really genuine so its all good.
ummm wow, that chic in the period post seriously needs to have her head examined...
But anyways. I have posted to cl, with disastrous results. Never again, no thank you.
no
GUILTY. But it was a response to a "platonic" post. We're still sort of friends. I just haven't talked to him recently.
I REALLY need to get out. I've met 5 people from 4 different internet "sources"
don't judge me!
i definitely never have - and never will - post on craigslist for a potential partner. How sketchy!
im laughing my ass off at either thought.

yes i have, boyfriend's idea though. he wanted a 3rd party... i wasn't into doing it and luckily he let it go after a while although we did get some good hits.
Craigslist has personals? Wow, you can find your new husband and a wedding dress on the same page...one stop shopping.
I've never posted on there, though I have responded to ads just for kicks. Never got a response back :).
LOL - that's great. It's always so amusing to look through them. I'm like you though, I'd never post one although I've thought about replying but I never did. One is sad, there's a guy around here that posts about once a week, he's a widow in his 60's who's just looking for a companion. It breaks my heart.
Here is a great one from my local ones - scary as HELL and wants to beat the sh*t out of you...

I think part of the last one got cut off. This is the good one lol. (take the space out)
As sketchy as craigslist is, I would actually consider it.
As many horrible stories as I've heard, I have to admit I've also heard some pretty good ones too.Âi would never post on there.
Xo
No I haven't and wouldn't, but I've also never been on Craigslist.
Craigslist personals are great! I saw this one man show called "My Life on the Craigslist" and it was about all the weird fetishes he found and he used to reply to them to see what weird responses he would get and then read them to the audience. It was great. My favorite are the vampire fetish ones.
But I've actually met a few normal people in the "strictly platonic" section when I was looking to make some new friends as all my friends graduated from college and moved away. You just have to be very choosy about which posts you reply to.
First time actually hearing about craigslist. Don't think I'd ever write anything on it anyway
I have a friend who tried it and started talking to a guy. Not much more than that has happened though. And no, I don't think I would consider Craig's list.
I didn't even know this thing existed hahaa but anyway, wouldn't have posted even if I had known it existed.
Never knew it existed and if I had know, I would have never posted. Don't need to advertise anything.
LoL. I have responded to a few posts once I saw that trying the real world dating wasn't working for me, and neither did Craig's List worked. Ha.
Never tried the personals, but I've gotten some drum hardware from them before.
