This is a guest blog submitted by sahar.I've definitely had some knee weakening kisses by ex-lovers. One of my favorites happened last New Year's Eve - my then-boyfriend and I were on the rooftop of a Battery Park apartment building overlooking the Hudson River. Lady Liberty stood proudly within our view and the moon was shining brilliantly on the starry night.
The clock struck twelve and champagne bottles began to pop. Just as his lips touched mine for the New Year's kiss, fireworks erupted in the sky.
I got butterflies.
While our relationship might have been far from perfect, for that moment, nothing else mattered.
What have some of your best kisses been like? If they haven't been great, what would be your location and situation for a perfect kiss?

everytime he kisses me I get butterflies. he's the only man I've ever kissed and it's always perfect.
I have never been kissed, my ideal place for the perfect kiss would probably be in the moonlight or on the beach preferable with the sunset in the horizon.
I want to save my first kiss for my wedding day. I know that sounds weird but I want to only kiss one man. But I still wouldn't want my first kiss to be in front of who knows how many people. So mine would be right after the wedding in a small private room.
But I'm willing to wait for that.
I have ALWAYS wanted to be kissed in the rain. Never happened yet though, came close a few months ago with my then girlfriend. When I kissed her, it felt right, everything in time slowed down, or nothing else mattered but being next to her and touching her lips with mine. I couldn't get enough. She even went as far as kissing me at red lights, which I had never done previously. Great kisser, manipulative girl.
drunk. it's always better kissing when you're drunk. lol.
awwww your kiss sounds sooo romantic =]
i haven't had any mind-blowingly wonderful kisses. im 15 and have only had one boyfriend. my first kiss is still my favorite. unlike a lot of stories you hear, mine was perfect. to me at least. =] we were just sitting on my couch talking (with my parents in the other room, i might add haha) and i'm lying down next to him and he's playing with my hair. we stop talking and it just stays quiet for a few minutes and he just leans over and kisses me.
and then another was when we were outside and saying goodbye and he grabs me and kisses me and we're standing in front of his car and he's bending me backwards over the front over his car to the point where i'm almost lying down on it.
probably doesn't sound that special to you, but it was to me haha this made me miss him =[
i think the best kiss i've ever had was when my girlfriend got over mono.
over a month of no kissing, hardly even being near each other. i even remember the date: september 10th, 2007. the most passionate kiss of my life so far.
@harmonyminusmelody@xanga - haha nice!
i can kind of relate to that one. with b/f being in the military, its always that first one when i see him.
like this time, it'd been about 8 months, and he shows up on my front porch, scoops me up in his arms, hugs me tight and kisses me ever so lightly.
it was sweet. then we went inside, sat on the couch and talked some. then he looks me square in the eyes, and kisses me, then tells me he missed me.
=] ily hunny!
My first kiss was amazing, simply because it was so unexpected and I really liked the guy.
I really love kissing my boyfriend when he's carrying/holding me like in the picture above. But any passionate kisses are great.
@laurenmaureen@xanga - Both your stories sound amazing!
@endlesscrowd@xanga - I love rain, but I've never been kissed in the downpour-type, only in the drizzly icky type. I wonder why so many people want to kiss in the rain?
@tx_daughteroftheking@xanga - That doesn't sound any stranger to me than someone who wants to lose their virginity on their wedding night. It's the same principle, only a little more extreme.
I personally love all of my boyfriend's kisses, but there is one that stands out the most. It was our first kiss & he was about to leave my house. We had been dating for almost a month & I'd be returning to college soon. The foyer was dark, I was being my shy self and leaning against the wall when he hugged me. I hugged him back and he leaned in and kissed my lips so softly and then pulled away super quick and I thought to myself "It's over already!?" He looked me dead in the eyes smiled and kissed me again. It was great! I love those soft little kisses.
It was after our friend's wedding, he was leaving and leaned in. It was like a movie (cliche I know), but the world just went on around us and it was like we were the only two people in that moment. My stomach dropped and I was left breathless. Hands down the best kiss of my life, sadly though it was probably the last time we'll ever kiss each other.
@tx_daughteroftheking@xanga - so you're not planning to kiss as part of the ceremony?
I had the same idea for a long time... if you end up and do that, you're braver than the rest of us. The main reason I ended up not waiting so long was that even tender hugs made me start physically shaking with anxiety, so I figured that would be a good thing to get over before the wedding night!
Oh, and best kiss ever is whenever you can feel his heart fluttering.
Alone, in an isolated home, come to see her do something and then letting chemistry take its place. If it takes its place, everything else will work itself out.
i'm a senior in high school. my most perfect kiss happened about a week ago. it was not the first time i kissed this boy, and it was just in my bed, and he tasted like cigars and alcohol.not romantic at all.but we've liked each other for almost 3 years now, since my freshman year and his senior. it was so comfortable and electric at the same time, complete perfection.
@la_faerie_joyeuse@xanga -
i think it has to do with the movie The Notebook, hehe.
@endlesscrowd@xanga - Now that you've mentioned it, I immediately want to be kissed in the rain at some point. Wow. I love the rain, and I like kisses an awful lot too, so it sounds like a good combo.
Also this last New Year's for me - we were at a concert and all the bands came out at once and they played some great 80s cover together and there was confetti and everyone was kissing. Other than that I can't say I one kiss stands out. Maybe my second kiss because my first kiss was so bad that I wanted to never kiss again, but then my second kiss was so good that I realized why people like kissing and I have enjoyed it ever since. But it seems to me the bad ones stand out in my mind more than the good, haha.
And while I've had some good kisses, I don't think I've had a "perfect kiss," nor do I really know what my idea of a perfect kiss is.
Possibly the most memorable kiss I've had up till now wasn't even on the lips. I was walking home late one night when I was in Spain with someone special, and was trying to explain that I liked the calluses on his hands, which he was a little embarrassed about. So I kissed them, and he stopped me in the middle of the street (3am, no one around) and told me that meant he got to kiss a part of me that he liked. He leaned over, moved the collar of my shirt, and kissed my collarbone. It was so unexpected and simultaneously tender and sexy that I don't think I'll ever forget it.
@endlesscrowd@xanga - Oh, NO. First, I liked that *far* before that movie ever came out. And second, when I was basically peer-pressured into seeing the movie... I walked out. I got to the point where they were about to have sex in the abandoned house, and she was "playing" the piano. I hate chick flicks.
I think I like it because it highlights the masculine/feminine dichotomy: the man is strong, stable, holding up the world; the woman is weightless. Also, it requires you to hold on to the other person, which makes me feel safe/loved. And, finally, it's sexually arousing, because, well, it makes a great sex position if you're somewhat less clothed.
i dont think i've had a "perfect kiss" yet.
the closet i've come is probably the second time i kissed my boyfriend. we were walking with a big group of our friends and i pushed him down a random street so we could lose everyone but for some reason they all started going down that way to so my boyfriend pulls me into a doorway while everyone went past and once they were gone he kissed me. we weren't sure where we stood with each other and we both thought the other was freaked out or whatever about making out the other night so it was...i cant find the right word but it comes with a big smile :)
i'm dying to be kissed in the rain. its so spontaneous and romantic and sexy.
@endlesscrowd@xanga - i dont think its cause of the notebook...i think its the its pouring and we should be running inside but i just want to kiss you so i dont care if we get completely soaked feeling about it
I don't think it really matters where I get kissed as long as it's with the person I want it to be with then it's special enough, but I'd have to say it was that one night when all my friends had their boyfriends and there was just so much love. It was started to rain and everyone hurried to run inside but my boyfriend and I stayed still and kissed! I finally got my kiss in the rain. ( : but what made it even more romantic was that after he told me that he loved me and he cared so much for me. He'd told me he loved me before but I could really tell he meant it then. ( :
@coldhands_lipsblue@xanga - Yeah. It just looks so romantic and sexy.
I had sort of expected some more descriptions of technique, rather than scenery. Interesting. I have been very lucky to have dated men who, for the most part, have the right instincts about kissing. There are times for passionate ones, there are times for soft ones, but there is never a time for the teeth embedding pressure that some people use. If you're into biting, that's one thing, and then it's deliberate, but if you're going to be completely oblivious to the fact that it's really uncomfortable, painful even... well...
My current really likes to kiss me all over. He does the traveling down my arm and kissing each of my fingers thing, but only every now and then. It's a special treat. It's the sweetest thing, and he's like a feather. I like that a lot.
@tx_daughteroftheking@xanga - Mmm, I actually think that's very brave of you. I had originally considered that, but never committed to it firmly enough to keep myself from having my first kiss. But I do think it's a very good idea, because kissing is the starting point for everything, and if that may be a stumbling factor you might as well keep yourself out of trouble as best and long as you can. Not to mention that you are doing your future husband a wonderful favor in a world like this. He's a lucky man! Best of luck to you!
Best kisses are...the ones where you can't pinpoint to a single kiss, but instead pinpoint to that single person and say, 'every kiss with him' :)
