One of my friends started reading her horoscope about a month ago. Although she acknowledges that most of the predictions could apply to a lot of people, she's also noticed that some of the things she reads are eerily true to her life, especially her love life

.
So, here are your Friday questions:
1) What's your sign, baby?
2) Do you read your horoscope regularly?
3) If you read it, do you find that what you read is sometimes or often accurate?
4) Do you believe that what you read has any truth to it or is it all just for fun?
Comments (83)
1) Leo
2) I read it daily
3) Mine is always accurate. It's scary.
4) I believe there's got to be some truth behind it, but otherwise just for fun.
1) Aquarius
2) Almost
3) In a scary way! Sometimes it's a little too close for comfort!
4) I think they are fun!!
1) Cancer
2) Used to. Then stopped because:
3) It was never accurate, in over a month. Seriously. Even the personality stuff is inaccurate.
4) It's all in fun.
Leo, on occasion it's all for fun when I do read it because one blanket statement can't apply to every with the same sign.
1.) Aries
2.) more like monthly
3.) Most of the time it's inaccurate, I think because I only have a few things in common with Aries
4.) They're fun, sometimes funny
1) I am a cancer. 2) I read my horoscopes daily 3) They always seem to come true. Creepy? Maybe. Maybe not.
4) I think your life is what you make it. Horoscopes are fun, and maybe there is truth to the words you read. I read that I am going to have an exceptionally good day and will meet my soulmate, and my spirits are already lifted. Now being in a good mood, When I collide into a good looking guy between classes, maybe I will be more inclined to talk to him and get a number. Maybe it will grow from there.
I don't think they are inherently true. I think you make them true. I like to think of them as confidence boosters... tools to create your opportunities. Sometimes it is nice to have a point of focus for the day, even if it was arbitrarily created by some editor in a newsroom.
1) Sagittarius
2) Now and again
3) Sometimes
4) Unsure
1. Cancer
2. No, not regularly.
3. Sometimes, when I actually read it.
4. All in fun. I don't believe it. I just find it interesting to look up every so often.
1) Capricorn
2) I do not read mine daily, it's more monthly.
3) I think the "predictions" they write are pretty general but what I enjoy more is how close my personality fits the Capricorn personna. How I get along well with some signs and can butt heads with other signs.
4) It's all for fun
1) Virgo
2) No
3) It sometimes scarily accurate
4) Pretty much all for fun
1. Gemini
2. Every Day.
3. It's almost never accurate, and always tells me I'm in for some kind of financial windfall (I'm still waiting).
4. Just for fun.
1. Sagittarius
2. Twice
3. It's more of a guide really not a predictor.
4. I only milk it for sign compatibility. It's fun to figure out if a potential mate has a future with you.
1. Sagittarius
2. I read it daily
3. Sometimes it's slightly accurate, but it's usually a few days off.
4. I don't take it too seriously. It's just interesting to see how things pan out.
1. Cancer
2. I used to when was in my teens, but no longer.
3. Yes, it happens to me sometimes whenever I read it. LOL :)
4. I read every now and then for fun.
1) Pisces
2) Yup. I read the one from Astrology.com daily, the one from Astrobarry.com weekly, and the astrology blog at ElsaElsa.com at least 3 times a week.
3) The Astrology.com one is usually close, Astrobarry kills me with accuracy though.
4) I don't think you can take it too seriously, like don't live your life by it, but a good horoscope can give you insight you were missing or guidance on something that's been floating around your head.
1. virgo
2. i probably read it like every other day
3. its not all that accurate, you have to take it with a grain of salt
4. its just for fun
1)) Scorpio
2)) Somehow, if I got the piece of info I would read out.
3)) Perhaps? Coz those characteristics are actually quite similar to many people. So maybe they seemed accurate that way. Eg, my horoscope sign says that I can't stand betrayal. That's what everyone can't stand for, right?
4)) For fun and for the sake of proving it's accurate or otherwise.
1) Cancer
2) Not really
3) Rarely ever
4) Just for fun
But most of the characteristics are accurate of who I am, just not the predictions.
1) Sagittarius
2) Generally, for fun, every morning with my news.
3) A lot of times when I read it, I can see my life or something about myself in the "prediction" of the day.
4) I believe that it has very little "truth" to it, and it's mostly just generic statements you could easily read yourself in to with little effort. But it's fun!
1) I'M A LEO! :)
2) i don't read it regularly
3) they r written so vague that they are always "right"
4) it's mostly for fun. at times even a generic write-up has a good takeaway message.
1) Libra
2) I used to, but not lately
3) No
4) It just for fun and because it is on the same page as Dear Abby
@beachblondie711@xanga - Your #4 -- this is a great way to look at these things. They create inspiration for us to effect our own self-fulfilling prophecies.
@the_last_kiss - thank you, you may have said it more effectively in one sentence than I did in two paragraphs.
Oh well, I never claimed to be articulate.
1) Capricorn
2) I don't read it as regularly as I used to when I was younger.
3) Every now and then I find that it parallels my life, but...
4) in the case that it does, I don't read too much into it because it's purely coincidental.
1) Virgo
2) I read it if I happen to come across a Horoscope section. I won't go looking for it, though.
3) It's too general not to be. Half the other horoscopes could apply to me, too.
4) I think it's more for fun than anything else. Maybe those who believe in it are more likely to keep an eye out for what their horoscope says, therefore making it true.
